Strikers Bowling Center — Local services in Alamogordo

I bowl in two leagues at Striker’s and the place is run terrible. Some nights the snack bar is closed during league bowling times and the manager and assistant manager have both worked the daytime hours.

The lane conditions vary for the leagues I bowl in and the bowling pins slide around the pin deck because they need to be cleaned. Also, there are some lanes where the pins aren’t picked up and set properly. There is one daytime league on Tuesday and nighttime leagues are on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with a Youth League on Saturday mornings so there is plenty of time to do pinsetter maintenance.

There are other issues but I chose not to mention them here. The higher-ups need to do something about how Striker’s is run because the current manager seems to be just collecting paychecks, IMHO, while MOST of the subordinate staff are doing all the work.

Not a bad bowling alley, considering the area and base. Plenty of lanes, adequate rental equipment, and everything seems to be fairly clean and maintained on a regular basis. There is a good food spot inside that does amazing breakfast and lunch burritos, but otherwise standard (greasy) bowling alley fare.

It underwent a small facelift a few years back, but still feels dated. The arcade machines inside are really old (dated alien shooter, Madden Blitz, etc.) and it could really use some proper renovations and funding to get it looking good.

It's never usually packed except for League or Squadron intramural nights. Good for parties, and the staff is usually very friendly. Also...

Went on a sunday with my family.. The cashier was rude and didnt have any customer service.. She yelled at my son to stop running so i asked her wher the sign is for that and she said its in the front entrance and then I asked her how come they are not posted around the bowling alley and she said sorry I am not management and then she tried to charge us for four pairs of shoes when there were only three of us I don't know if I will go there again probably not if...
