We took the Midnight Sun tour which ended up being cloudy with low light conditions. No chance for any sunset photos!! Instead, Tyler took us on a tour of several off the path back roads. He showed u several great vista spots with good backgrounds and foregrounds. We visited a canyon with excellent flowers/rock faces, textures, etc. Although disappointed with the lack of light, that was not Tyler's fault, the weather and clouds were just not cooperative. All and all, it was a good three hours. Tyler was very knowledgeable about the use of several different cameras which was very helpful with one of the young ladies of our group. We all learned a little something from each other. He was also very personable, doing a good job working with those that needed help with certain aspects of photography. My wife, a non photographer, also enjoyed her time talking with Tyler. I love getting away from the typical tourist crowds and areas, so the provided that very opportunity. I would happily recommend both the tour and the company! Now if we could only figure out how to make the weather cooperate. LOL. Photos to...

Update to this review...... when I did my photo book one of my full spreadsheet pages was one of the pictures I took while on the photo guide tour and everyone loved it they said the picture was amazing so again I can't thank Paul and Denali Photo Guides enough! Paul was an exceptionally knowledgeable photographer, willing to share tips and tricks. Took us to lesser known areas, to get shots and help us getter better shots! We even saw two moose, which we were able to photograph from different angles. My husband and I were extremely pleased with our photo journey and would highly recommend. I learned more about my real camera and now my husband learned how to take pics with his phone....and it kills me to say, but he got the better moose shot! We had a...

my wife and I were on the midnight sunset tour as a special treat for our wedding anniversary

We were pretty disappointed with the tour - most of which was outside anyone’s control - the overcast sky did not allow any good views, and even though our guide indicated early on that we would have a good chance at wildlife, we only saw one moose with the mange (not very photogenic).

We also did not receive

Our guide, Todd, was very knowledgeable and he took us to many great spots for photo opportunities, but it just didn’t really work out for the intended purpose.

Given our unfortunate experience, I was very pleased that the owner offered a 50% refund, which I thought was very fair...
