North Bowl — Local services in Alaska

This place is a sorry excuse for entertainment- took the kids here on 12/7 to have a fun family night out and we ended up spending more time waiting for their “mechanic” to fix the lane than I would getting new license plates at the DMV. Anything from pins falling from the sky at random, to the pin setter knocking over pins, to it screwing up the score when it would do it midframe. Once, twice, no big deal; but when the other lanes start taking notice and it going on 6-8 times in an hour period and it takes 3-4 minutes to fix it each time.....inexcusable.

The level of customer service we received was a level of customer service you’d expect to get from the IRS - and they just want your money, much like this place. Instead of realizing an issue and thinking “oh the next lane that become available I should move these people” no they just continue selling lanes and throw customer service right out the window to let it blow away in the Valley wind. After about the 6-8th time pins fell from the sky - I tried to contain my frustration and simply asked for a new lane - “oh there’s a big group of 20 lanes coming in and your time would run over.....”

Hmmmmm kind of like I couldn’t be moved again to accommodate that huh? So I took a deep breath and rolled my ball down the lane for one more fateful journey where more pins (not the ones standing) rained down from the sky.

This business is a sorry excuse for entertainment that simply skates by due to a lack of competition and is run by people who clearly don’t have much concern for whether or not your family has a good time once they have your hard...

We went bowling here and we walked in and the front counter girl imediatly had a bitchy attitude like she would just prefer noboy ever went there. Then are lane messed up so much we had to move, and we where down to 4 minutes left on our time when one of our friends showed up with some food for when we left, but as the snack bar had been closed and we where leaving in 4 minutes we started eating the fries and she came over and said we could not bring in food so we need to throw it away or bring it to the car we put the food away and left it be, to finish are last frame the she comes walking up like a minute later with a trash can and says "ok throw it away now" I asked to speak with the manager and she siged and walked off, the manager defended her rude employee and said that we should not have brought food and I tried to explain to her that I was not upset for her telling us we can't have the food I was irritated that she walked over acting like a toddler with a bitchy attitude. We have had issues with this girl in the past she is always in a bad mood and is really rude. I will just make the drive to eagle River the billing alley is much cleaner and the lanes work ALSO THE STAFF IN EAGLE RIVER IS AMAZING. I will never go back to...

We had a birthday party at North Bowl for my teenager today. It's the first time that I have been there in many years. Their party packages are a way better value than all of the other local venues we usually use.

We showed up extremely early and asked a lot of questions, so the employee was visibly stressed as it was a busy day, but still managed to take care of everything we needed in a professional manner. The customer service we received from both employees was top-notch!

Every time a lane had an issue, they were on top of it immediately. The pizzas came out exactly when they said, and while a bit pricey (they have to make their money), they were pretty good quality. When I needed to buy extra drinks, they came out immediately.

North Bowl provided one of the best birthday party experiences that my kids have had in quite a while, and at a much lower cost than the Fun Center or Fly Trampoline. I would absolutely recommend this...
