Do yourself a favor and buy your furniture elsewhere! We spent over $3,000 on 2 couches and a recliner in mid February, 2018 and was told that it would take 1 week to get the couches, and because we were getting custom features and fabric on the recliner we were told it would take 4 weeks. We waited a week to get the couches, but at 4pm on the promised delivery day and having not received the couches, we called to find out where the delivery truck was. The manager told us that our couches were never added to the manifest to be delivered from their warehouse in Eugene and it would take another day or 2 (normally it wouldn't be a big deal except we had no furniture to sit on since we wanted to make sure there was room for the new items). They offered the display models but I had to argue to get a discount for said displays. The next day they delivered the couches and everything was fine, or so we thought. After waiting 5 weeks after the purchase date we still didn't have the recliner we were told would only take 4 weeks. Again we call to inquire the status of our furniture. They told us the manufacturer had a fabric backorder and it would take 4 more weeks. Ok, not there fault, right? Well after waited the ADDITIONAL 4 weeks we called again because we hadn't received any update. They called the manufacturer to find out what was going on and then called us back. RIFE'S NEVER SENT THE ORDER TO THE MANUFACTURER, STANTON. Meaning 4 weeks prior when they said there was a fabric backorder, Rife's never actually checked my specific order. I have now waited 9 weeks on a chair that was only supposed to take 4, AND it was never ordered even though we paid IN FULL upfront. They promise to make it right by pushing my chair to the front of the queue, refund $100, and add a lumbar support feature, and that it would only be 2 more weeks. We wait the time and to my surprise they actually delivered the chair on time, BUT there is ANOTHER issue. the promised lumbar support was not on the chair. They acknowledged the error stating that they sent the order with lumbar, but Stanton said the order didn't have it marked. Rife's promised to order the correct back to the chair WITH lumbar support to the top of the queue again and that it should only be another week and a half. We wait and don't get an update, so we call and Rife's says that they are waiting for Stanton to send the motor and that they weren't sure when they'd get it in stock. Another 3 weeks later we get the new back, FINALLY! BUT there is another issue, they STILL don't have the proper motor to connect all the features properly. I had to call again to explain the issue and the manager said she had a chair from Stanton with all the features and that she would have it gutted for parts to finish the chair. The service technician showed up on 06/08/2018 to fix the chair. IT TOOK ALMOST A FULL 4 MONTHS TO GET ONE CHAIR!!!!! A chair that we were originally promised would only take 4 weeks, but due to countless acts of negligence took almost 4 months. I can't help but feel like they were hoping I would forget about the chair so that they could keep my money for nothing, and that the ONLY reason I finally got my chair, and got all the issues corrected is because I had to consistently check in on them and make sure they were doing what they were supposed to, just like I have to on my 5 year old son when I tell him to clean his room. Take your money elsewhere and save yourself...

I have purchased a few items from Rife's Home Furnishings and up until this point I've always had good luck. Until now. On July 30th I thought I had found the perfect love seat recliner. It was a glider with charging ports in the console and still had manual recline instead of power. Just what I wanted. The brand is Coaster and although I did some research on the brand, I was not able to sit in any of their furniture because Rifes does not stock any. It's only found on their website . The sales guy took some measurements to make sure it was the size of furniture that would fit me. After paying for delivery and receiving the piece I was horrified to find out that the furniture was not even close to anything that would be comfortable to a 5'3 person. The Rocker is useless when your feet can't touch the floor. It puts my legs to sleep. I will say it is very comfortable when fully reclined. It's perfect if all you want to do is sleep in it. It does not sit up straight, it leans way too far back for the average person. Rife's says they have a policy of no returns on special orders which I find very poor considering that since covid almost everything is special order now. They had me sign papers on a tablet which I can see now was my mistake. My physical paperwork does not show signatures or initials about purchasing unreturnable furniture. I paid for furniture care protection which is also not refundable even if I sell the furniture.
So I'm out all the money I paid plus delivery and warranty. Needless to say our relationship with Rife's is over. I've referred many people to them over the years. I no longer recommend shopping there or at least be very careful. The salesman said he always makes sure customers understand the policy about ordering furniture but I think he just didn't want to lose the sale because I would NEVER have ordered it. ...
Read moreI had been to the Rife's on Riverside Dr. before and wasn't very impressed with the selection or the customer service so when someone asked me if I had been to the one on Fescue St SE. I was confused. Another store? When? How did I miss it? Well, I went to see what was offered and was I in for a surprise!! The store is gorgeous, the furniture and accessories are beautiful, the customer service was amazing, and I was gobsmacked that I had been missing this place all this time by lumping it in with the other store that I had gone to! Manny (the supervisor that I worked with) was so personable and really knew about the furnishings that he had in his store! He answered all my questions, made suggestions that would help me in making the best decision for my house and my needs, and really went out of his way to make me feel as if I was the most important person in the store! There was a bit of a delay in getting the chair I ordered; however, Manny called me every week or so to keep me updated on the status and to let me know when I could expect it to be ready for delivery. And he was right on the money! When my chair finally got to me, it was (and still is) the most perfect chair for me! It is soft and comfy, it is one that I can sink into to let me cares drift away while I watch TV or a movie, and I am so happy I went to Rife's!! I have been telling my friends about my experience and so I thought I would share it with everyone! Way to go, Rife's and Manny! Thank you...
