Warehouse Package Store — Local services in Albany

This place cannot be described as a "LIQUOR STORE", even the name WHAREHOUSE PACKAGE STORE doesn't quite fit. As you look around, it can boggle the mind with all the different types of spirits offered. Besides having a huge inventory of "beverages" available, they also have employees who are well informed, knowledgeable and FRIENDLY. They can help a wine novice (like me) select a wine without feeling intimated. Didn't know if I should add this, but here it is. In the past and especially now (as we have gotten older) friends and other ladies that I know, have been and still are reluctant (afraid) to enter a "liquor store" by themselves. Sadly their only choices are those sold at grocery stores. I want to inform ladies (any age) that the WAREHOUSE PACKAGE STORE is a very nice place to shop. The service is so good it's surreal.

Most liquor stores are quiet, dead places with the same variety of normal crud you get anywhere; the whole time the store attendant is quietly staring at you with evil and malicious intent.

Not the warehouse! Tons of craft beers, multiple varieties of mead...if you want it, they have it.

The real gem is the service. The staff are uniformed, and are there to help you find things, or just to help you out if you're new to the world of killing your liver! I've made some purchases based off the staff's recommendation and have always loved it. They'll even help you carry it to your car.

It's also brightly lit and not sketchy at all.

My mom asked one of the lady employees(white) a question about the fire trucks outside & asked if her/her husband were ok… then she went into the store after she was answered. This lady proceeds to say “I almost slapped a customer” to another white employee (male), all because the man was not her husband. Joke or not, I didnt find it funny! I got out and said “you almost didnt do anything” twice but she “didnt hear” me I’m assuming, so i decided to just put a review in.
