Relax Nails Spa — Local services in Albuquerque

From out of state and was traveling with a friend from Santa Fe and made appointment with Salon over the phone for 11/2 for 2 pm. Got there an hour earlier and the salon was OK with taking us both an hour earlier to get our nails done. That’s the only good comment I have for this place.

Made appointment for a pedicure and manicure plus a manicure for my friend. I had the fastest pedicure I ever had in all places I’ve been to. Male tech not wearing gloves and I had to asked him to put them on. Did not see them use sterilized individual packaged tools, had those already loose in their containers. About 20 minutes and I was done. The nail polish I chose was just a clear one, but it turned out to be just matt not a shiny one. Had to redo on my own the next day.

Manicure, nails were cut short the way I like them to be. Used one of their skin toned nail polishes, never heard of the brand names on the polishes they use. Was already skeptical. I usually bring my own polish, but didn’t plan on getting nails done while traveling. That afternoon I already noticed the polish starting to come off. By the next morning I had lost on 6 nails the polish just flaking off. Didn’t do any work with my hands that would make that happen. I believe it is just cheap nail polish they are using. I was so disappointed and so not very happy about it. Couldn’t go back to have them redo it, traveling further away.

Also my friend noticed that the window sills were very dirty, shelves not cleaned and the manicure tables, while she was getting a manicure done. As well that the women’s technicians were very loudly talking and laughing. Not very relaxing there. My chair was also ripped in the back. I can NOT recommend this place at all. If you can go to another place, do not use this salon! ( unless YOU had good experience...

I went to this nail salon a couple of weeks ago mainly due that it has decent reviews and its close to where I live. I walked in and asked for a mani/pedi and was asked to pick out my colors. I did so and told the receptionist I was ready whenever a tech was ready. I sat and patiently waited as two customers walked in and were quickly ushered to the pedicure chair. I overheard one of the walk-ins say aloud that she was impressed that she was able to get in so quickly since she did not have an appointment. I rushed over to the receptionist desk and said that I also wanted a pedi as well and told her I came in before the other two that just walked in. She acted shocked that I wanted a pedi and then proceeded to take me to the pedicure chair. The tech did a great job on my toes nails but the tools he used appeared not to be in a sealed bag prior to usage. They also had tools stored in blue liquid so I truly don't think that's effectively sanitizing the instruments. When the tech was done with my toes he asked me to go to another station to work on my finger nails. He did not help me put on my sandals (since the nail polish was still wet) or at least give me disposable flip flops. I also did not see the tech's licenses posted on the wall upon entering the establishment. MY BEST ADVICE IS TO STAY CLEAR...

Absolutely amazing place to get your nails done!!! Christine, Annie, and Rose are the best in my opinion and they are all so nice and such sweethearts. Everyone is super nice and friendly and fun you end up airing for a while they check on you to make sure you’re doing alright and if you’ve been helped. I am extremely picky when it comes to my nails and Rose (she is my go-to nail tech because she’s absolutely amazing) is always able to amaze me! She can do anything I show her and she makes sure that the nails look the way I want them to in terms of shape, thickness, and length which I love. I won’t go to another nail salon because this one is just perfect. I recommend making an appointment just so you don’t have to wait too long, but even that isn’t an issue to me because it’s worth the wait, it’s also more on the expensive side I think but still worth it. I’ve only ever gotten one pedicure but their tools are always cleaned before hand and you get your own bag of stuff after to bring with you next time, also the girl who did mine didn’t seem to complain about my gross feet and she did a stunning job. 10/10 would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to go back soon if/when the corona...
