Do not go to Giant ever coming from a person who’s first ever job was bagging groceries at $5.50 at another location when Giant first ever opened. I took pride in my job but was over worked and when I left I became a customer. I started going to various locations spending thousands a year at this company. This particular location I get stalked and harassed by their employees. I was trying to get an last minute item and there was an employee trying to verbally harass me then it turned to sexual harassment I walked away before being followed by they manager at the medicine isle trying to get pain medication saying to hurry up. I ran to hurry only for them to gang up on me and run around me and behind me while I was looking for my payment method. Then the manager took my food out and it escalated quickly by them trying to follow me where I was leaving out to saying they was calling the police. I left then came back with footage because I got poisoned by there pharmacy with the wrong medication once like they don’t think people can read. Giant is not good and the people are not appropriate for them to be a thriving grocery store. Say no to Giant Food and find other stores better, Safeway, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Moms organic Market, Harris Teeter and other grocery stores similar. I’m sad to say I’m trying to find a lawyer to take down this grime chain to obtain the justice I deserve. Here is a picture of the manager mocking me dancing bobbing his head and buying alcohol and...
Read moreThis store frequently has discolored (moldy?) cheese on their shelves. I’ve not had any other problems with this store over the last year or two of shopping here, but the cheese is a recurring problem. I went shopping today and was looking forward to making a nice plate of nachos. When I got home though and cut open the block of cheddar cheese I just bought I saw spots of green and realized that this cheese’s best-by date was March 3rd: OVER 7 WEEKS AGO.
I’m a casual shopper; if I need something, I buy the first one I see. If that means the chips I’m buying are more crushed than average or a bit stale, then so be it. But the cheese. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve eagerly anticipating a nice meal of home-made nachos or pizza, only to cut open a “new” block of cheese and be disappointed to see that the cheddar has green spots or that the mozzarella has purple spots. I’ve always just assumed that I must have bought it a while ago, or maybe I just got unlucky. But no. I’ve started paying more attention over the last handful months, and I can now confidently say that this Giant...
Read moreI have been frequenting this location for awhile and finally I decided to write a review. Let me first say, the manager is professional, funny, and has always handled issues mine and others respectfully.
My concerns with this location are the prices are a lot higher than other stores I go to e.g. Harris Teeter, Trader Joes etc. I have gotten bad milk, yogurt, ice cream, opened baked goods witnessed a worker(white female w/ gray hair) cough all over the trays of baked items. I addressed it with her and she denied it. I was standing right there. Also, why do I have to bag my groceries if I go through the check out lane? I am not at Aldi or Costco. Obviously, if I do self check out, but to go to a cashier and be told( it's the same older woman) that I have to bag my groceries. Lastly, why is the self check out automated voice sooooo loud? I shouldn't hear if someone's card is declined or that Granny Smith apples are 1.99. Harris Teeter and other Giants dont have it so loud. Giant may not be a posh grocery market, but it shouldn't cause such a headache...
