It is amazing to me the lack of value businesses put on training their staff in customer service. Customer service can make or break you as a business and one bad experience can turn a long time loyal client into someone who will tell everyone never to spend money with you again. This is one of those cases. I have been ordering Wing Zone since my college days back in Seattle (think early 2000s) and now that I am in the delivery zone in Alexandria. Last night was my last night ordering from Wing Zone. After waiting for over an hour for the food we ordered, we reached out to the restaurant to see what the status of our order was, after some confusion, we were told they were out of wings and they "didn't know what to say". As most people would do, I asked to speak with the manager to find out why we were having to reach out to them to find out that our food would not be delivered because they were out of wings. I was promptly put on hold without a word. Six hang ups later and having to call from multiple phones, I finally get someone to speak to me who tells me the manager is too busy to speak to me, as a business person I find this entire concept ridiculous, when your business is unable to supply the product people have spent money on the entire purpose of the manager is to speak to the customers and make it right. When I finally spoke to the manager he told me they were going to figure out how to make our order the priority as he knows we are loyal customers, at this point it's 10pm and 2 hours after we ordered, I told him we were no longer interested in the food but I wanted to know why we did not get a call as soon as they knew they could not fulfill their end of our transaction, I was promptly told our phone call was "taking too long". This entire situation could have easily been avoided with basic customer service, with a phone call as soon as there was a problem, with an apology, with the manager taking 2 minutes out of his time to do his job and make sure the customers are happy. Wing Zone, I highly recommend investing in some customer service and...
Read moreOrdered a 10 Boneless Basket with the wings covered in Nuclear Habanaero with Bleu Cheese dipping sauce and Wedge Fries. First, it got to me on time and the driver was polite. The food was packaged properly and still warm. Delivered within a reasonable amount of time. The wings were very good and they sent me a LOT of Bleu Cheese to dip it in. Also the Wedge Fries were likely some of the best I have ever had. Everything was good. But I am not sure it was worth the price - even before delivery fees and tip were added. So I have to give it a four out five. Still good just not sure about the price. Update - 1/15/2020 - Want some chicken and ordered, via Grubhub, from Wing Zone. Ordered 10 Thigh Wings, in Mango Fire, and Jumbo Gourmet Onion Rings. Ordered it at 3:22 PM and Grubhub gave me a ETA which I didn't trust because the restaurant was using its own drivers. I figured the time given would be way off. And I was right. By 4:22 PM the food had not shown up yet so I decide to call them. They said the food would be there soon. And they were right. Minutes after hanging up the driver was knocking on my door. I guess he decided not to bother to call me and waited till somebody let him into the building. He wasn't in a good mood I guess because the expression on HIS face was the same one I would have if somebody was knocking on my door at 12 o'clock at night. He didn't say anything it was just that semi-pissed off look that people have when they want to say something but don't. The Onion Rings were cold, had no packets or sauce with them, and should not be call Jumbo nor Gourmet. And the Thigh Wings were semi-warm, not spicy, kind of tough and not that good. Even with a discount from a Promo Code I used I don't think I got my money's worth. And it had nothing to do with GrubHub. This is totally on Wing Zone's shoulders. When Grubhub asked for a review I said - Better off ordering from KFC. So taking away a...

A week ago I placed a very large order for boneless wings for a holiday party. I was very pleasantly surprised because they not only arrived early, but were hot and delicious. The order was accurate and I was ready to post a 5 star review on this site. They truly exceeded expectations during a very busy time for them I am sure.
HOWEVER… I just placed an order that took well over an hour to arrive because the driver apparently took a wrong turn and he spent 30 minutes driving the totally wrong direction before he finally found his way. I live 2.2 miles from the store and it is an easy 5 min or less drive via the highway, one exit on and right back off.
Of course the food arrived cold. I immediately wrote on the receipt (and told the driver) to have the owner call me. After waiting a while I contact Eat24 where I placed the order and they called the store. I asked for but did not receive a $5 discount. In addition, they forgot one item in the order (I paid for a “basket” which should have included fries but they were missing). To ad insult to injury, the owner would not even refund the difference!
Lucky for me because I ordered from Eat24 and not the cheapskate owner directly, they were able to reverse the delivery charge and the tip (but could not otherwise discount the order without permission of WingZone).
To Eat24: I recommend you drop WingZone until they act responsibly when they mess up.
To the corp office of WingZone: Perhaps your Alexandria VA unit needs some “Undercover Boss” action to see why their service is so inconsistent.
To the owner of the Alexandria location: Be accountable! When you mess up a very small discount and apology goes a long way to prevent reviews like this.
To future customers: Be aware that you have a 50/50 chance of getting an outstanding experience but if they mess up don’t expect them to “make it...
