I bought an opal/tanzanite ring from Paul a few months ago. He swapped out the opal (same size) from another ring he had because I liked the color better and sized the ring a size larger, n/c. I picked up the ring after work and the next day I wore it to show my friends at work. While driving to work I looked at the ring and one of the tanzanite stones was missing. I took it off right away and called Paul. I told him I felt like this was going to be an ongoing thing with this style of ring and I’d like to return it. He told me to bring it in and we could work something out. Right then I had a feeling…. it was t going to be a happy ending. So I returned the ring. Paul told me he would replace the stone free and continue replacing stones for a year if they were to keep falling out. I told him I’d rather return it, I felt like it was too delicate. He became very uptight and abruptly told me “That’s fine I’ll give you your money back, but I’ll have to keep $100 for my service.” I had no choice but to take the $100 loss. I did tell him I thought $100 was a bit much. Obviously he did t care. I would have remained a customer if he had handled things differently. However, I felt like he needed the money more than I did, so I didn’t even argue. I love jewelry shopping. I have other jewelers that I shop closer to where I work. Randazzo is the best! I had an incident where my ring finger was injured and swelled up and I needed to get my wedding ring cut off. They did so easily and assured me that they could repair the ring when the time came. They wouldn’t accept payment for the removal and just said to come back and see them when the finger returned to normal. It took a while for my finger to heal but eventually I brought the ring in, they took a size measurement and a few weeks later my ring was ready. I picked it up and was thrilled. It fit perfectly! I said that it looked better than new and they explained they had cleaned it using a special process and invited me back to get it cleaned whenever I wanted and for no charge. Well I've been there twice now they have a quick greeting to all that walk in thier store soo far I hav nothing bad too say but I plan too visit more often when I hav the chance & yes they hav an upright additude with an open mind to know what looks good & generally know what customers are looking for, evn though the reason I evn came too thier store was I was looking for a local jeweler to help me make sum custom jewelery with man made gems I possessed that were loose & I decided to make earrings for my granddaughter Ella, evn though I didn't really know how much it would cost me in the price, but soo far I'm pleased ovr all & would recremend them too others too come & spend money evn though the custom work they are doing for me was a little mor than I 1st expected but for my granddaughter Ella, no amount of money is to much for my 4yr old...
