We are honestly obsessed with Good Grounds coffee. We wish we could go more but we always have a bag of their beans here at home for home made lattes and when I say they’re my favorite any roast any kind I’m not lying. I not only love that they’re organic but they seriously taste so good and give me my perfect crema in my lattes. Not only are their house roasted beans delicious their entire menu is. They always have new delicious seasonal menus often with housemade syrups & all organic. I love trying the new things! We’ve been loving them for years now when they were just a little stand in the antique store a few weekends a month and absolutely fell in love with their sourdough cinnamon rolls. They’re part of what inspired me to stick to mastering my sourdough journey. All and all I truly only have good to say about Good Grounds and the BEAUTIFUL family that dreamt it and is truly owning it so well. They are the sweetest with young children and tackling it all with grace giving me inspiration and HOPE and excitement for all God can do with our dreams and desires! I pray Good Grounds sticks around for all my coffee runs ‘til I am old and grey. And maybe even opens another location (maybe in Imlay City *cough* *cough*) haha! I love going to coffee shops especially that feel like you’ve walked into family, that ask about your life and truly seem interested and appreciate you coming in. They never fail to do that even when they’re not in, their workers do the same! They have a perfect little area for kids to play and man does that help us with little ones truly be able to catch up with friends or just enjoy a coffee as a couple or meet for something important. You feel seen as a mama! Their quality of food/drink/service in my opinion is great! You’re paying for all organic at a very similar price to Starbucks or any of the other chains which is insane to me! You couldn’t ask for better! I could go on and on but I’ll leave it at this! I love Good Grounds; don’t hesitate to stop in!

Bought beans earlier this month. Sold as light roast, but were literally the darkest beans I have ever seen. Extremely oily, meaning they were roasted past second crack. Also had a rock in my beans that damaged my grinder. For 28 dollars a bag, I was extremely dissatisfied. You can get better beans for cheaper from other roasters. Giving 2 stars because when I called to inform them of the issue, they were apologetic and refunded me for the transaction. Update: Increased from 2 to 4 stars. Within 15 minutes of my initial complaint was contacted by someone higher up at the company, either the owner or roaster. They apologized again and offered to replace my burrs if needed. My grinder is working well with minimal damage, so this is not required. The fact they offered without knowing the price of replacement was great customer service. I would consider buying beans from them again given the great service

I saw this cafe driving through Almont and stopped in on a whim. The space is clean and modern but still warm and homey. The smell of fresh coffee and cozy bustle of families adds to the gezellig vibe. I was impressed with the pastry selection - there were so many creative options and they all looked really good. I ended up picking the cheesecake coffee cake and it was incredible! And the iced latte? Easily the best I’ve had all year. Totally worth the drive out to Almont—I’m already planning my next excuse to visit. Trust me, if you’re nearby or just passing through, make the detour!

Hands down the best espresso I've had since moving here from Europe. The barista is very competent and consistent in pulling excellent shots, and crafting specialty drinks. The staff are genuinely kind, helpful, and precise.

Food wise, you can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Every one of their bagels are delectable whether toasted, or not, with or without cream cheese. The orange ricotta cake is the creme-de-la-creme in my eyes, for its moist sponge and delicate taste. That's not to say everything else is less than perfect in any other way. Once you bite into their scones, be it a savory or a sweet one, you'll find in them the perfect companion for your coffee. The cakes and muffins pair perfectly with any good tea, at any time of the day, and everyone I've surprised with one has been absolutely delighted with them.

In summary, this place is a breath of fresh air in a land filled with chains that try to emulate what Good Grounds does seemingly without effort. With their selection of mouth-watering food, and amazing staff, they are head and shoulders above their competition, and even if the prices are a little higher, it's still well...

100% no lies told. My husband and I seek out craft coffee shops everywhere we go to study the field because we hope to one day have a coffee and bakery ourselves! Of course in our searches we always try to seek out places that offer unique menu items and ethical/organic selections so, naturally we were excited to try this place when it opened. This place was 1000% through and through a perfect reflection of what we invision when we think of opening up a place ourselves one day and I am SO excited for the family of Good Grounds to be thr FIRST and very best example of what, not only a cafe and bakery should be, but what all food business should be. The care for ingredients and the delicate time spent to craft and bake their sourdough goods is worth ALL of the effort they put into it. Everything was baked and brewed to perfection and without due, I will 100% be back for as many times as they'll allow (lol). Congratulations on your fantastic cafe adventure! I hope to live and learn through your delicious shop and I cannot wait to see what you come up with...
