If I could give Pasadena Park Healthcare & Wellness Center 10 STARS, I would!
After a serious auto accident, I was a rehabilitation patient here for 2 weeks in March 2018. It is not a fancy schmancy place by any means. But, it IS all the things one needs a rehab facility to be. The place is impeccably clean and if there is anything that needs attending to, you can voice your concerns to the facility administrator Zev. Zev - who is always around and very hands on - always makes every effort to get the problem fixed immediately. I can attest to that.
Josh, the chef does a really good job of varying the menu options and probably makes an apple cobbler tastier than your great-grandmother's. Aside from the impossible-to-avoid apple cobbler, I was actually trying to stick to a diet plan and Josh even graciously accommodated my request for meal-sized salads (with more than just lettuce) and whole fruits.
The facility has are two lovely outdoor areas with seating - one with a fountain and one with an expansive grassy area. Being nestled in the foothills, you really feel like it is a healing oasis....Not to mention there are elegant peacocks who nest on the grounds....yes, really, peacocks!
But what really makes this place such a diamond is the amazing caliber of THE STAFF.
From the nurses and the aides (Helen, Anna, Maria M., Marco, etc.) to the support staff (Arianna, Chandra, Megan, etc.) to the physical therapists (Eric, Les, etc.), each and every staff member goes waaaay above and beyond every day to make it a comfortable and productive stay for each patient. They do so much more than their job requires and I believe it's because each of them TRULY CARE about the patients.
I have so many memories of the outstanding care I received at Pasadena Park, but here are just a few: Maria M. braiding my hair so that I would feel better about my appearance...Arianna at the front desk who left her post to secure me an Uber when my ride didn't show and even held an umbrella over my head in the rain waiting with me. Les in PT who really got creative in providing me physical therapy exercises for someone younger than the typical-aged patient...Helen, the head nurse (who is so on top of it all she could run a hospital!), who was so understanding in orchestrating not one, but two, room changes for me....Chandra who coordinated all the complicated details in getting me back home.
Pasadena Park is truly a diamond. Don't be fooled by the simple exterior. Whether you're looking for long-term care for a loved one or you're rehabbing following an operation, don't overlook Pasadena Park. The care you will receive here is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWords are inadequate to express my gratitude to Pasadena Park Healthcare and Wellness Center. I am both friend and conservator to a person who made her home at this facility for over five years. The attentiveness and competence of the staff was responsible for literally saving her life many times. She has multiple medical conditions which require ongoing monitoring and vigilance. Every time there was any cause for concern I was immediately notified, the appropriate doctor was called, and appropriate measures were taken to address the situation. In addition to medical needs, the staff is always concerned about the emotional needs of the resident. The facility provides daily activities to engage the residents to make their stay both enjoyable and therapeutic. My friend has been ill for many years and has required a skilled nursing facility for an extended period. She has resided in numerous other nursing homes which do not even come close to the nurturing environment of Pasadena Park. Zev, the administrator knows every resident and personally does everything he can to accommodate each personās needs. The other staff members work as a team to make this facility one of the best in Southern California. Carl, the marketing director, is on the premises almost daily and adds his expertise and charm. Isabel, the admissions coordinator, extends herself far beyond her job description and can be counted on to follow through on everything she promises. Loleta, the social worker, is the most conscientious and hardworking social worker I have seen. The rest of the support staff who are to numerous to mention are equally valuable and dedicated. I only wish that everyone who has need of a skilled nursing facility could avail themselves of a place as exceptional as Pasadena Park Healthcare and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI spent almost 3 months at Pasadena Park Healthcare after two hospital stays and multiple surgeries. I can honestly say that I enjoyed nearly every minute I was there. (The very few minutes that I didn't enjoy were due to my own issues.)
The entire staff, from administrators, nurses, physical therapists, food services and even housekeeping were kind, caring and professional. The facility is very well maintained, clean and attractive.
I wish I could remember all the names of those I came into contact with, but Janette, Janelle, Julie and Leah are amazing, caregivers. There are so many others, and shame on me for not remembering their names. I'll be forever grateful for their kindness, and for simply putting up with me!
The physical therapists are knowledgeable and very understanding of any specific individual needs I had. I'm grateful for their patience and efforts to get me back on my feet. I went from bedridden to nearly normal walking in the short time I was there.
I highly recommend Pasadena Park Healthcare to anyone needing skilled nursing care. I actually miss being there, and if I ever need SNC again, I hope to...
