United Supermarkets — Local services in Altus

United is not a bad store to go shopping in there pretty good about asking you if you need anything they ask you a quite a bit if you need any help looking for something I know the prices are getting high and that's not really much you can do about it when you are on disability just have to buy what you can afford and let go what you can't afford. United sometimes they get rid of things that they don't get anymore but if you ask him they usually try to get it back and they have on some items that they can control people that deliver there on item . Walmart takes things out of the store that you used to buy and you ask them if they can get it back to the district managers and everything they say we don't have any control over that that comes from the main office at Bentonville well they say that always listen to the customers but they don't because they had still haven't got anything back after they changed all the shelf and discontinued a lot of it just like they did back in the back where they had asked later why they didn't have liver back there that I've been buying for a long time at Walmart now they don't have anymore I just have gizzards and then they quit doing gizzards a long time ago so they don't care about the customers and they name you make the deli deal bigger where they can put stuff on there instead of discontinuing it and put on fish no matter what time of the Season it is you're buying something and always running out so why did you get rid of it when you're selling a lot of it so I have to go to different store to buy so I have to go to Mangum at United that's your bad on 17 Mile trip from my house so I have to drive the manual and get it and drive back so are you done with over miles and they carry liver and Gizzard they're pretty good but they ran out of lie but they don't get rid of it like y'all didn't Walmart so y'all need to think about the customer cuz we're having to go to you to United and then we have to go to save a lot now that Storehouse a lot cuz they've got stuff and it's a lot cheaper than Walmart and other stores so it's nice that they brought into Save-A-Lot veteran-owned I used to have to drive the long can save a lot but now it's in her own in Altus Oklahoma now so y'all keep raising your prices at Walmart cuz we got another place to go now and we got a Dollar Tree and we got Dollar General Northland Blair now so we can go up there and get stuff...

Popped in here to grab a couple quick things. As with the holidays most stores are running ragged and I get that. I choose to shop here for the small town atmosphere and avoid Walmart like the plague. The store had 2 cashier's running registers. Waiting in line is just part of it. I would rather do that than use the self checkouts. Upon putting my basket next in line the cashier was very mean to an elderly lady needing help out to her car. a bag person came and loaded her groceries in a cart. The cashier started to scan my items, I asked "hello, how's your day?" And her facial expression told all. She snickered and rolled her eyes and aggressively scanned and threw my items in a bag. I never was acknowledged as a customer just as a person wasting the cashier's time. She didn't say anything at all except slamming my receipt down, sighing loudly again and making me feel like I was a burden to her. I understand it's hard to find people willing to work, but if you're on the clock you are a representative of the company and should act accordingly. I have been here several times, and it is a very pro con place. meaning if you hate the crowds in larger establishments, (like Walmart) then this may be the place for you. however I have found it is a sort of gamble on meat's and produce. You may get done of the best meat's in altus here or they could end up rotting the day after you purchase it and it's the same with the produce PS. This hase happened only once but I thought it may be note worthy. I have purchased Jalapeno's here for a very long time how ever that all changed when I purchased a lb of peppers here and after I cleaned them up with very hot water (which I suggest with all the produce purchased here) I had a allergic reaction to something on these peppers and it was one of the top 10 worst experiences I have...
