â 1-Star Review: Deeply Disappointed by General Manager at Cannabis Bros Amity
Iâve been a loyal customer of this store for years and have had great interactions with many of the employeesâmost of whom are friendly and helpful. However, my experience with the general manager has been extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable.
I was sold defective and broken products, and when I tried to resolve the issue, I was wrongly accused of tampering with them myself. These accusations were made with no evidence whatsoeverâjust baseless and suspicious assumptions. Fortunately, the regional manager later confirmed I was right, fully acknowledged the situation, and took my side.
After much resistance, the general manager reluctantly offered me a discount for my next visit. I explicitly asked if there was an expiration date, and she replied mockingly, âNo, of course not, itâll be valid whenever you come inââwith a tone that made me feel like I was asking something ridiculous.
When I returned a month later, she told me, laughing and grinning with visible satisfaction, that the discount was expiredâcompletely contradicting her original statement. When I reminded her of her promise, she smirked and said, âI know I promised, but I didnât think it would be a whole month.â If she truly had that concern, why say there was no expiration? The whole interaction felt calculated, malicious, and dishonest, and frankly, like a breach of trust and verbal agreement.
I did nothing to deserve this treatment. I stayed polite and respectful throughout the entire situation. Her demeanor was passive-aggressive, dismissive, and at times openly rudeâeven laughing at me while I tried to resolve things calmly and fairly.
Whatâs most disheartening is that this wasnât an isolated moment. Over time, Iâve experienced a subtle, ongoing pattern of disrespect from this manager, which culminated in this frustrating experience. Whether itâs personal bias, a power trip, or just poor leadership, this is not how you treat customersâespecially those whoâve supported your business for years.
Thankfully, the regional manager stepped in, resolved the issue professionally, and even offered me a better discount than I was initially promised. That response was appreciated. But the general managerâs attitude and behavior made the entire process unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional.
