A wine bar, farm market and boutique eatery that is easy to fall in love with. 😍

I’ve been here a few times and each visit is even more endearing.

The service is casual: at the bar you place your order and help yourself to silverware but the food is made to order and served at your table.

It’s a very nice blend which perfectly suits the pacific western attitude. Friendly, easy going and accommodating.

The vibe is delightful and the food is delicious.

I ordered chèvre with pear and pepper jelly. And it’s soo good that I wanted to 👅 lick-it off the plate. OMG really it was that goat-good!!

Of course I need to mention the homespun gallery Arts and sundry items. I pick up cards and other gifts to take home that are unique and personal.

If you eat meats you’ll be in hog Heaven. Come and he knit out yourself. The farm to table is exceptional.

I’m a vegetarian and there’s plenty of farm goodness to suit me as well.

I’m hooked. They are only open twice a week so if you are going to fe in Amity or not… it’s worth the trip - keep in mind they are only open Fridays and Saturdays from 3-8pm.

They have an open mic 🎤 on Thursdays but I haven’t been yet.

But the food and atmosphere is very pleasing and enjoyable. I took home some extra hand cut fries last time I was here and just heated (and chopped) them up and put them in my egg breakfast burrito the next day.

Now I don’t want a breakfast burrito without them. It’s that crazy good!! 👍 😊 Not often do I want to give more stars than possible but this place is not just a feast for food but it feeds the soul.

All I can say is YUM/ 😋 yum. belly up to the bar, grab a booth or grace a table then let the Blue Goat satisfy you.

Charming....

Blue Goat is my absolute favorite place to dine in Amity. And I know, Amity isn’t a huge town, but even if it was filled with restaurants, I know Blue Goat would still be the best. I love everything about them: Locally grown produce and meat, and a short, curated menu so you can depend on anything you order to be exemplary. They have prepared items if you just want a little something to grab and go, and they also sell their meat and produce too!

We’ve dined here a few times, and I always try to order a goat or lamb dish as that is not something I would cook at home, and I know it will be skillfully prepared and tasty. For instance, we recently had goat empanadas….so darn good! Love them! We’ve also had the lamb barbeque. Their fries are ridiculously crispy and yummy, salads are always good, and for dessert the chocolate cake or cookies have been delicious.

Don’t forget to wander around a bit while you wait on your order (Which is always quick!). They have fun artwork, cute mugs, even dog treats! In December they had some sweet handmade ornaments and bulbs in planters.

They are only open 3-8 Friday and Saturday so might take a little planning ahead, but they are so worth seeking out. If you are in McMinnville, it’s only a little drive, and if traveling from that area to Salem, maybe make a pit stop in Amity for a...

I'm glad to see the Blue Goat is still humming along. I was a regular in the first years but haven't stopped in for a while. All the things I like are still there and a few have gotten better.

We had goat empanadas to start and they were very good. Hot and smoky from the wood oven the goat was juicier and more flavorful than I remembered. A good match for a cold pilsner from Heater Allen.

For entrees we split the rockfish tacos and portobello sandwich. Both were good, the sandwich featuring a lovely edge of crispy cheese. The tacos have always been excellent, with house made tortillas and ricotta.

Bread pudding for dessert was wildly buttery and rich.

The only miss for us was the potato halibut bisque, the server warned me it was really fishy and she was right.

Overall I love this place. I feel comfortable coming in to the bar after work in stained Carhartts and also dressing up to take out of town relatives out. This can be a tough thing to pull off in a small farming/wine town and I'm glad...

Tried Blue Goat today for the first time today with my partner and had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was warm and charming with touches of the owners true love and dedication to their farm and animals. My sandwich was so good I walked over to the chef myself to thank her, especially because after getting to watch her at work in their open kitchen design, she deserved to know just how amazing she is! Dave behind the bar was so kind, attentive and a great conversationalist! We really enjoyed getting to chat with a local and learn about the farm and their passion for food and community. We ended our meal with the most delicious cherry dutch baby that we talked about on the way home! Next time you're looking for a spot with incredible food and even better vibes, don't over look Blue Goat! Thanks so much! We'll definitely be back soon! 😊🐐❤️
