Andover Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation — Local services in Andover

I went there for in house rehab after having back surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. The rehab dept is contracted out and has nothing to do with the facility. The staff from the nursing home was terrible. There were only a few , and I mean a few nurses and aides that were caring and polite. But the rest of them were very rude, mean thought they knew it all. I could not get out of bed without help to go to bathroom it would take at times 20-30 min to get a response. That’s unacceptable in my book. They could not answer the call button, but you could hear them in hall talking on their cell phones talking to their families as I’m laying in bed waiting to use the bathroom. This place is the HOUSE OF HORRORS. . It’s really bad. I had one aide tell me that there’s only one aide for 16 patients. That’s too much for one person to handle and to handle them properly. The rehab dept was great. They cared about the patients took time with them. The nursing home on the other hand , most of the help there just took the job to have a job. This profession is not easy and I commend the people that do it and do it properly. This is not a job for someone that has no compassion It takes a special person to do this job. I want to thank the FEW good aides and nurses that I had during my stay. But if I needed a place like this again I would NOT go back there. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone . They need to do some serious re evaluations...

Administration is horrible. The place is continously understaffed. I would not send my worst enemy there. If you want someone to die than this is the place to send that person. My Mom sat in her filth for who knows how long and under 1 week had bed sores because she was neglected. There is some really nice staff but it's Administration lacks empathy and only wants money while the residents go without what is in their care plan. If you truly love your people and want them to get the best care possible then do NOT consider this place for any reason not rehab, skilled nursing, and definitely NOT long term. My daughter was a patient here for a year, and I could not believe how horrible this place is. The administration is a joke and they never tell the truth about anything. And once you voice your concerns about things that they are doing with your loved ones and why they are doing it , the administrator does everything she can to have the family removed from the nursing home. This place needs to get a whole new administration and the owners really need to pay more attention to what's happening in their facility. Please don't let your loved one ever become a...
