Used to work here and a few other phone companies, you guys are getting terrible deals and don't even know it. I recommend looking into Visible, exact same coverage and service and half the price monthly. But if you want Verizon specifically You're better off going to cape Girardeau where they will actually give discounts. As an employee they have authority to give discounts and I've visibly watched them myself turn down customers who are having money issues instead of helping them because it "cuts into their commission" on top of the fact both employees have stolen sales from me while I was struggling to find a place to live. They are very money hungry and greedy people, go to Carbondale or cape and actually save money. For example, those screen protectors cost $7-8 per screen protector and they're selling it to yall for $65. Cases are $11 being sold to yall for $50-$60. They make most of their money on accessories which is why they are greedy with discounts. You guys are getting jipped in store, and doing everything online saves you some tax money in Illinois instead of going to a store. That's my 2 cents about how these stores operate and the best way you guys can truly save money instead of being shown what you are being told is a "good deal". Victra is a terrible terrible company. Verizon itself is great, Victra is a horrible outsourced sales company and they are the reason all your stuff in store is so expensive. Also if you go online you don't have to pay that ridiculous $40 "set up and go fee" that goes STRAIGHT to Victra's bank. It's just a money grab for service they would do for you anyway. All you have to say is you aren't gonna pay the set up and go fee, they can't force you to pay it. They can waive it every time but they'll claim they "aren't allowed to". They very much can waive it and will if you refuse to pay it. You guys are overpaying and Victra trains staff to word their sales pitches to appear as a good deal and they are most certainly not by comparison. Read moreI can no longer call the store directly. I've had questions about the device I bought there and couldn't call them on the phone. You get customer service instead and they interrogate you about why you need their number. I would finally get sick of it and just drive over to the store to get a very simple question answered!!! My whole reason for buying a terribly expensive phone at this facility was to be able to access them quickly. I'm not a tech person and can accidentally hit a button and mess things up. Prior to all these changes I could call the store, explain what I did, and they would quickly help me correct it. Considering the cost of the phone itself and the cost of the monthly plan, I think it is horrific to have to be screened before they will connect you to the Anna store. Poor, poor, poor, customer service practices! I paid off my phone and cancelled my monthly plan (and found a cheaper and much better plan) due to these circumstances and the fact that they cannot seem to keep well informed employees. I will say that Adam was extremely good and helpful to me during our few interactions. But that's the only positive addition I can make to this review. For those of you who have had positive dealings with this store, or more importantly Verizon itself, I am very happy for you. Unfortunately that was not my case I would add one more thing. When I closed my monthly plan on 8/19/24, I paid my bill, however I still had a refund of $52 coming. They were to credit my bank account. I am still waiting for the refund! Read moreI stopped in this local Anna IL Victra owned Verizon store on February 20, 2024 for assistance deleting a phone line I no longer needed on my account. The young lady working was very unprofessional and lacking customer service skills. She absolutely refused to provide me assistance once I questioned her. I asked if her supervisor was available and was told no. I then asked for a business card so I could contact the supervisor on another day, she advised the supervisor was on PTO and she was the supervisor and I could not be put in contact with anyone supervising her.
