Don Sol Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Anna

Since this is a restaurant, I'm giving it one star because the food was absolutely TERRIBLE. My family went here when the place first opened for my father's birthday, and needless to say I was embarrassed for recommending it. The serving sizes are decent, but really pricey for what they give you. The food looked unappetizing before we even bit into it. Half of my plate was cold, and the other half had steam coming off of it! My brother compared his steak to a car tire due to how rubbery and flavorless it was. The presentation on the steak and the overall plating for the rest of our food was okay at best. We ended up spending 70 dollars total on food for 3 people. The service was okay, but the interior was really lacking. The windows made light shine in my eyes, no matter where I was sitting, and the seats themselves were sticky. I ordered two kids meals, did an up charge for full size meals and used my loyalty points. I bring my child here EVERY week. The manager on duty refused to fix the situation when I realized they gave me the normal kids sized portions. I ordered and paid online, and she told me that I’m not allowed to combine two promos (upcharge and loyalty points). Nowhere on the website said that and it took my money. So I paid $14 for food I could have got for free basically using my points. Her only solution was she could see if they can fix the website- she did not offer me to remake my food, or a refund for the extra amount I paid, or anything. I gave her the food, got a “refund” which who knows how long that will take to get back to me, and wasted 30 minutes of my day waiting for it to be done. It cost $92 for a family of 4 to eat!?!!?? We did not have alcoholic drinks and did not order an appetizer. The food was ok. I didn't like my entree but the others in my group did enjoy theirs. I did not feel like the meal was worth the money we spent on it. Restaurant was clean and staff was cordial although my waiter was extremely forgetful and got a cpl things wrong.
