To those with fitness goals:
When I turned 61 (now just a little more than 5 years ago) my husband gave me a gift certificate for three personal training sessions at the Alexandria, Virginia Sport and Health.
I have always been healthy and reasonably “fit” but never very disciplined or inspired by exercise routines. I knew that the clock was ticking and that there was more I should be doing to maintain and improve posture, core strength, tone, and endurance.
Those were the goals I articulated at the time I walked in the door of the health club. I am delighted to say that I got all of that and so much more from working out with Edouard Sooh twice a week. Inspired by Edouard, and in spite of COVID, I’m still “in training” and looking for new ways to continue to make progress on my original goals – and even to set new ones. I am definitely not done yet!
Edouard is an outstanding health and fitness professional who makes getting stronger and healthier a rewarding journey. He has deep and practical knowledge of physiology, nutrition, and exercise – and equally important – of human nature. Edouard was consistent and focused on helping me make sure I got a full and challenging workout. And that I would come back for more!
I am impressed with all of Edouard’s accomplishments – from personal training to writing (especially poetry). He stays in fantastic shape himself and has a healthy and full lifestyle with a genuine enthusiasm for learning, improving, and helping people achieve their goals.
For anyone serious about improving physical health and fitness in a supportive and inspiring environment, Edouard Sooh is someone I heartily recommend.
Sincerely, Barbara Day Alexandria,...
Read moreEdouard Sooh is an amazing personal trainer that far exceeds expectations! I would recommend him to anyone looking to achieve significant progress towards their fitness goals.
Prior to working with Edouard, I was starting to reach a plateau with my results. My general lifestyle is exercising six days a week (mix of cardio and strength / one hour sessions), but I felt like there was much room for improvement. His attention to detail, academic knowledge, and effective instruction have helped me push past mental barriers and go beyond what I thought was possible.
I actually have never been a big fan of weightlifting. However, Edouard worked me up to lifting 135 lbs (my weight is around 100 lbs) in about two sessions that were focused on using the hex bar. That is only one example of the many movements and techniques that he has taught me! I am looking forward to putting in the consistent work and seeing how I can improve from here.
Please give personal training a try, even if you’re a beginner! It was my first time as well, and I don’t...
Read moreEdouard is a trainer who knows how to train the body, how to train an individual no matter what their circumstance may encompass: injury, pain, time, fluctuating energy, goals that seem unattainable, all of the hindrances that keep us from exercising consistently. Edouard reminds me of the acronym KISS that expands to “Keep it simple stupid.” It’s the simplest, most basic things that make the difference. Simple, for sure but he is able to use simple, accessible exercises and technique to make lasting changes because there is a depth, not to mention an expanse of knowledge accumulated by his natural intuition but undergirded with over a couple decades of experience...
