This is BY FAR the worst grocery store I've had the displeasure of having to shop at my entire life. Literally the only good thing I can say about it is it's convenient with how close it is.
I have never been to a grocery store that is constantly out of stock of the most simple and "average" items - the last three or four trips I've been here they have not had a single plum tomato, they're constantly out of stock of cilantro (how? No idea - every other grocery store seems to be able to keep it in stock. Out of my last 20 visits here they have probably only had cilantro 2 or 3 of them and I was grabbing the last one or two which also looked old and not fresh at all). Produce always looks like complete garbage and old. Whoever is in charge of the produce department is constantly dropping the ball and I never, ever see anything being stocked in that department. Mind you, these are all "prime" shopping times where the grocery store should be over stocked! Sundays in the morning , week days around 4-5pm when people are getting off work and going to pick up dinner. You guy's really need to learn how to run a business because this is pathetic and sad. Once again - this isn't a "supply chain" issue because literally every other grocery store in this area is always well stocked in these items.
I've seen multiple times where the entire ice cream section or frozen goods section is completely bare. Self check out sucks and is always having to be fixed.
I will go several times in a row looking for a certain item (the stuff listed above, chicken, ground meat. Nothing crazy - literally some of the most common grocery store items) and within the span of 4-5 visits in several weeks (this isn't all within the same week) they will never have that item.
If this grocery store wasn't literally walking distance I wouldn't step foot in there again. So frustrating - you guys need hire somebody who is actually competent in keeping inventory/ordering/stocking. I'd give this store 0 stars if that...
Read moreI am writing to express my concern with customer service in a most recent incident in your Giant Store 948 Bay Rodge road Annapolis, Md 21403 (store#0167). On June 29th around 9:45 am I was using your self check out area. While scanning my items a clearance item scanned the regular barcode instead of the yellow sticker. I requested assistance and the employee Sandy (identified by one of her peers later on) came over. We needed the item voided so we could rescan it properly, she went off to find someone to help and came back a few minutes later and told me I had to wait which I had no issue doing as I know this is a busy time for any grocery store. We waited for a few minutes and I asked her if I could rescan the items at a diferent register or go through a check out lane she said "no". I asked again as I know this can be done at this point I could tell her frustation by the way she was speaking to me and moved me to a diferent self check out register. As she walked away to help another customer she said "If you would've scanned it right the first time you wouldn't have had to wait" not only my self and my six year old son heard it but other customers did too who gave me a confused look as we couldn't really believe how rude and disrespectful the entire interaction was. This is our home store and we always enjoy seeing familiar kind faces but this interaction was very frustrating as I know Giant strives for stellar customer service it's a shame that this is what regular customers have to deal with as we check out and this is the experience we have...
Read moreThe worst good day ever a lot. There's just one gentleman whose name is Mike. He's very rude all the time. I always tried to talk with him. Ask him how his day was, make a joke with him. Ask him if he had a hard day and he looks at you like he's looking right through you. So I'm going to get the surrounding area to sign a paper to see if they've ever had any bad experiences with this gentleman. That's the reputation of your store, your internet. I plus I hope it doesn't turn out to be that bad. But he's very rude to me every single time. I've ever been into that store and I have research with the hours and the dates because I save all of them every time I've gone. He's always been rude very bad for your business. I worked for giant for 10 years. There's a local 400 sheriff road at the giant flower warehouse. I loved it very dedicated. I loved my job. And I know the giant goes by reputations. Good product, good hospitality. It's a shame that you have someone. That's so rude and very racist. I must say. I've observed him and how he reacts to individuals. And it's totally different by color. We are all supposed to be equal. We should all stand by one another to help and be kind. But I do know I will never shop at that store ever again.
