Privately owned but managed by Winn Residential this property is no place to live unless you are fond of a ghetto environment and mentality that is shared and promoted by the majority of the tenants as well as the highly unprofessional office and management staff. The leasing office staff has a high rate of turnover and continues to be staffed with people that are extremely racially biased, dishonest, immature and only concerned with a paycheck. Violent crime is high here. The rental office claims to work closely with the Annapolis City Police Department but actually enables and promotes crime within the community by ignoring illegal occupants and by refusing to crack down on (African American) tenants that commit crimes after becoming tenants. I have been assaulted as have my children on the grounds of race by numerous tenants and the rental office refuses to hold those people accountable LYING outright to HUD stating they never received my police reports or complaints. 5 rental office general managers in 5 years. Rental office staff that extorts the tenants. Retaliatory evictions on fabricated grounds whenever you complain and if you're not 100% African-American DO NOT APPLY here as you will be targeted and victimized while the rental office staff and the owners sit by and gossip about it. You will have no privacy either as the immature rental office staff will discuss everything they know about you to the entire community. They have a serious mold problem and instead of hiring mold specialists they paint over it. Renovations are done as cheap as possible. I have had renovations done to my apartment and the paint is two different colors, paint bubbles everywhere , and the paint is already chipping. Other apartment complexes will move you while you get renovations but they rotate one building that is supposed to be a “hotel” for all the residents in the community; when I had to move in the building they designated for me to stay in during renovations it was not throughly clean, roaches were everywhere. I could not get my floor replaced because they weren’t worn enough despite being there for 6 plus years.They steal money and will take you to court over money that you have already paid so keep every single receipt you have! Since moving to bayridge some years ago there have been MANYS property mangers.The new manger is the only one that that kept her word with me and is doing the things that are supposed to be done here at the property. i hope this continues until one day the property is completely a place where anyone that lives or moves here is proud to live here .the resident services coordinator has been very helpful to the community and so glad shes here . the new maintenance crew is great and hope they will stay...
