I came in last week for an oil change and got "The Works" package. Upon arriving there in the afternoon, I was told there would be over an hour wait, at least; So we decided to set up an appointment for 4PM (that ways I could arrive there and they'd have a lane open and ready especially for my vehicle at the specified time so I wouldn't have to wait, according to the desk clerk). I showed up at 4PM and nobody was at the desk. Service techs walked in and out of the shop without saying anything and I just waited at the desk for 10-15 mins. til the guy showed up to take my keys and inform me there was a vehicle ahead of me but it should take just a tiny bit and they'd have my vehicle in there. I'll add for the record, both times I walked in there, all of the customers that were waiting were ALL complaining about how incredibly long it was taking. And many of them made jokes about the innacurate, cute little phrase, written on the whiteboard: "Wait time for vehicle to be serviced: FASTER THAN CHEVY DEALER" (photo included). Each customer seemed highly dissatisfied, myself included. After arriving to my "scheduled appointment", it took a whole hour and a half for my vehicle to be done (after most of the entire time was spent waiting for them to finish a truck ahead of my vehicle). So I found it very suspicious that they were able to finish my vehicle in such a timely fashion? Well, come to find out, they were able to finish doing my service so quickly because they hardly did any service that is included in "The Works" package!
Upon inspecting my vehicle: They did NOT rotate my tires (yet falsely reported that they did on my vehicle check-up sheet). They also falsely reported that all 4 of my brakes were measured for wear and all of them were 8mm... Which I find very odd seeing as how they didn't rotate my tires AND two of my brakes were recently replaced in the past 2 months, and the other set has never been replaced. So this was a red flag/lie they reported to me. The tire pressure wasn't checked either, which is also an (included service). Luckily, at least they didn't lie about this. They just didn't submit a pressure on my check-up sheet. My air filter wasn't checked or even opened, (there was fine dust covering the box and no way they could have pulled it off to check it without some fingerprints or gloves rubbing dust off to unlock the cover to pull it off)... This was another included service in "The Works" that wasn't checked or "worked" on. They DID check my battery, because I got an included print-off of the level my battery was, PLUS they never bothered taking the additional 3 seconds to recover my positive terminal after checking it. And when looking under my hood, they got oil all over the plastics and just didn't even bother to clean it off. Which, I don't even understand how you get oil all over the place like they did (including down around the oil cap too). Just very sloppy and uncared-about work. Pictured included of all that as well... And finally, when getting into my vehicle, I noticed a bunch of oily, shoe markings on the plastic floor runners near the carpet. So it seems like they do a GREAT job of making your vehicle a lot dirtier than when you 1st bring it in to them, that part they REALLY excell at! As far as other visual inspections they "claimed" they did: I have no way of knowing for sure if they were done or not. I would have to jack up my vehicle or take it to a second shop and them find an issue that Ford's technician "claimed" they checked and wrote it was fine, to really know whether they checked it or lied about that too. But judging everything else that I WAS able to confirm they lied about, I'm sure they didn't check anything else either.
Ultimately, it was just a waste of gas, waste of money, & extreme waste of my time... And multiple lies to wrap up the whole package too! I shouldn't have even been charged considering everything... If a service dept. at a dealership would do all of this, I dare to imagine how bad I'd be lied to if I ever bought a new or used car from...
Read moreI applied online with a different company and for some reason Sunny Ford received it. When they called me I explained to the lady on the phone that I was currently going through Chapter 13 bankruptcy because of a ridiculous divorce decree. I knew I wouldn’t qualify for traditional financing but she insisted they could help ( I had a 780 credit score before the divorce and make a 6 figure income so needless to say I know how credit works after she insisted I agreed to come in scheduled an appointment had to leave work early for it so I lost that pay. To the point I walked in the lady I was supposed to meet with was at the front desk she didn’t acknowledge me or my wife until a 3rd person said this your appointment she turned nodded at me said something to the other person and walked away never said a word to me. A few minutes later a sales man approached and said he would be assisting us. I explained my situation about the bankruptcy and that don’t have a down payment the look on the sales man’s face was that of judgement and Embarrassed me well he filled out my information took it to finance I sat there for around 45 minutes with no one talking to me. The sales man I was dealing with took a phone call my presence and it was I’m assuming a local Rich person because they wanted to order a truck custom. Well after that he decided to talk to me he said we have your app in at a couple different banks you can go home and we will let you know fast forward 3 days I haven’t recieved anything but a text message asking how it went and I said don’t know haven’t heard anything. Well didn’t hear anything then until I text the original lady I was talking to and said thank you for wasting my time and that she should have just listened when I told her it wasn’t going to happen and asked if I was just a quota number for the month 10 minutes later I get a message from the salesman saying they keep getting messages from me saying I am not being helped and getting ignored and he left me a few messages I responded with I haven’t received anything exactly this message well no response still to this day. Point is very judgmental people. He embarrassed me with that look and I knew I was being judged so I let him continue on with it and didn’t proceed to tell him I was about to receive a good amount of money and would be able to just pay the vehicle off in less than a month. I have my settlement money now and won’t be returning to sunny ford to buy a vehicle I may stop by in my 2024 GMC Duramax that is 100% loan free. Maybe this will be a lesson to them don’t only listen to the bad part of a persons life because some of us hit bad situations I was only doing the bankruptcy to keep them from garnishing my check it is over now because I paid them off and then went and got myself a brand new truck. So thank you Sunny King ford for the wonderful welcome to Alabama maybe next time when someone comes in about a vehicle they should sit there quietly and listen to a person and the whole story. You would think that when I said a company paid to move me and my family here that he might have stopped and listened to the rest there was the obvious that I had the income and must be of some value to have a company seek me out and pay to relocate me. I wish I could give a zero don’t even...
Read moreI’m trying to be fair with this review but they arnt giving me much of a choice, misinformation and playing games all the way around. I was a phone customer on a black mustang ecoboost convertible. Got hung up on once during their tent sale week, and the sales agent seemed like he didn’t care at all in regards to assisting. Ended up demanding a new sales agent for when I got there swapped from Andrew to Lisa. Got to the dealership and waited on Lisa for 1 hour apparently she was on a test drive, I was the only other person there besides the sales reps who where sitting under the tent being lazy and exhausted from the heat (probably not the best idea to do a tent sale in this heat). Was walking back to my car to leave and Andrew stopped me and we talked. Ended up swapping cars because the black on had waves in the paint of the deck lid. Changed the car to a grey on black on (same price) but they tried to manipulate the deal back to what they wanted and not what we agreed on. Instead of 3.9% they tried jumping to 4.9%, instead of 2 grand down they tried jumping to 3 grand down, they tried adding all of their extra packages which would have been mostly useless, and tried running the payment up an extra $300 a month. (I caught every move they made)
I also paid for leather interior to be added to the car which this process is very painful. The dealership does not communicate, will not assist, has given bad eta’s on when stuff will be in, and will not confirm that they are ordering the correct stuff. I’m having to do it all on my own through katzkin and just relay information for them to see it at their discretion.
I wish I would have had an older more mature sales agent besides Andrew someone who communicated as well as herb did in my past transaction with sunny king ford. Definitely make sure you come here with text message proof of your discussions and screenshots of the deal! That is what helped me the most. Instead of this being a quick and painless process from handling most of the negotiations on the phone it was a 4 hour experience with them trying to change things on me hoping I wouldn’t catch them.
After sales support has turned even worse to the point I can’t get steady communication on getting these seats ordered. Is it to much to just ask for them to communicate and get stuff done? I don’t think I’m asking for to much as a customer and it wouldn’t be as painful for either party if communication...
