What could have been an easy/simple deal turned into the worlds WORST buying experience. Me and my dad were looking for a vehicle for my mom. This dealership had the EXACT vehicle that my father and I were in the process of purchasing in Florida. I called Greenway Dodge in Anniston to see if the vehicle was still available. I was told the vehicle was still available and would I like to come view it. I set an appointment for an hour after the call since we had to drive from Birmingham. Upon arrival Monique greeted us. She was VERY nice and showed us the vehicle. We talked a little bit more about the vehicle and how its CERTIFIED PREOWNED. We decided that this was the vehicle we wanted but there were some damages we wanted taken care of. They agreed on fixing all the damages. We went into the dealership and offered $1,000 less than what they were asking. The "GM" said yes to the deal and ran my dads credit. They came back with numbers a bit higher than what we wanted to pay monthly but we decided to just do it because the car was "CERTIFIED PREOWNED". We enter finance to sign paperwork. While we are going over things the finance lady starts trying to sell us a warranty. I brought it to her attention that we didn't need one because the vehicle was Certified PreOwned. She communicates to us that the vehicle was in fact not certified. I show her where on there website it showed it was. She calls Monique in her office to confirm that the vehicle was in fact a Certified PreOwned vehicle. The finance lady then calls the GM into her office where he looks at me and my father and tells us the vehicle is not certified because he discounted it $1000. This was NEVER stated to us when we were talking numbers. He then looks at us and says it looks like we dont have a deal..... I then reply "IT LOOKS LIKE WE DONT HAVE ONE" and we walk out. As we walk out he balls the deal up and throws it in the trash. When we got into the parking lot we decided to look on there website again to verify the info, when we noticed the price had dropped to what we offered. The vehicle still showed to be CERTIFIED. I text Monique (sales lady) all of the info and explained why I was upset/confused. She tells me to wait until the following day to see exactly what was going on.
September 1st comes (the following day) and I recieve a phone call that they will do the deal with the vehicle being certified. She apologized several times and understood our frustrations. I told her we would only do the deal if they cleaned everything and repaired all of the damages. She said all of that would be done. We get to the dealership a couple of hours later to sign paperwork and we notice nothing had been done to vehicle. Monique told us her GM said they cant fix anything until all of the paperwork is completed. We said ok understandable. We told her the vehicle still needed to be delivered as we were not able to take it home ourselves. She said ok, and that she would deliver it the next day after everything was fixed. All paper work gets signed and we leave. (Disclaimer: Monique and the Finance Lady were VERYYYYYYYYY apologetic) The GM said absolutely nothing to us the whole time we were in the dealership.
The following day comes and we have heard nothing. It's around 2:00pm so i decide to reach out to see what's going on. I don't receive a text message until 5:40pm stating that I needed to call the dealership to see whats going on. Today is now September 4th and we still have no car!! Now I have to drive all the way back out there (an hour drive) for the 3rd time to get the vehicle. That's 6+ hours of my time WASTED. WHAT EXACTLY IS THE PROBLEM HERE! ILL NEVERRRRRRRRRR BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN. How can you have a GM in place that could careless about customer service/satisfaction. Customer service is definitely not there top priority at GREENWAY...
Read moreI have a 2018 Dodge Ram that I called & asked could they get to my truck quickly before I had it towed there they said yes.It arrived on a Tuesday wreaker left it out back. They walked out Thursday to hook diagnostic which gave a code for fuel pump. I bought an extended warranty, which covered the fuel pump to be fixed, trying to call into their dealership is a joke, most the time you cannot leave a message to any of their extensions because it says there message is full and most of the time it goes to a call center in Florida and their dealership is an Alabama. now with this all being known with multiple calls from me & my wife asking when was they going to get it in the shop? we were told we were not the only customer that they had.So 5 days later they finally got it in the shop to confirm that it was the fuel pump. so now this is Wednesday after being there 8 days and not touched so on Friday, they told me they found the fuel pump and Birmingham and I was sending a parts guy to go pick it up so I checked on the truck Friday evening and they told me that the part wasn’t there so I asked for the service manager to come talk to me and then when he came to me, he said the part was there, so by 5:30 that evening, they called and told me the truck was ready by 5:35. They had been paid by the extended warranty with my insurance but when I made a call about coming to pick my truck up on Saturday morning, they said the insurance had not paid yet, so I got on the phone with the insurance and they told me yes they had been paid the dealership said l owed $238 because the insurance did not pay the tax on the bill but they do I have $100 deductible on each claim that I have. They got payed $1,170.00 from my insurance company when I did go pick up the truck, I was not happy. I did tell him I did not owe him the tax. They did straighten that out and wrote it off and I did walk out only paying the hundred dollar deductible but beware they will try to collect more money obviously.11 days total not...
Read moreI purchased a new Dodge Grand Caravan at University CDJR in 2019. At the time of purchase I made it clear to the salesman that I had reservations about thier service department because of some previous issues. Of course the salesman reassured me by saying that thier service department was under new management and would provide the very best service possible. The first time I had my vehicle serviced everything went as promised. Upon my arrival for my APPOINTMENT they promptly completed an oil change and even took care of a factory recall issue without me asking. Considering the good job they did I purchased at a considerable discount a coupon for 3 oil changes with tire rotation. No amount of discount could possibly make up for the frustration I encountered each time I made an APPOINTMENT to have this vehicle serviced . Each time I have made a service appointment I have arrived at the proper time only to hear an excuse about how they can't get right on the service. On one occasion I was informed that they couldn't do the service that I scheduled at all on that particular day. The other two times that I had the oil changed I was informed that there would be at least an hour delay in getting started . Also of significance is the general attitude of the service advisors. They speak to you as if they are doing them a favor by bringing your care there instead of the other way around. The old phrase "the customer is always right " definitely does not apply here. I'm not a crazed consumer who is impossible to satisfy, but I can only take so much. I'll never take a vehicle back to University for any reason . I'm a Chrysler products man ,but I won't buy one in Anniston ever again . Consumers take my advice and take your business out of town as I will be...
