Editing to add: I see the owners have replied with a sarcastic message. This really shows their true colors: Still no empathy for the situation they put me in, no apology, and to be clear, they aren’t disputing anything I said, so anyone reading my review can be assured it’s legitimate.

Kenton and Matthew are real pieces of work, and I urge anyone considering purchasing from this company to avoid it at all costs.

I emailed with Kenton on Saturday, Nov 16 to purchase a vintage Baker dining table. Kenton and I agreed to terms the same day. Kenton told me I could call in on Monday, the 18th, and Matthew would take payment as we were corresponding over the weekend.

I wrote in my reply to that email, in no uncertain terms, that I accepted their offer and would call in Monday for payment, at their instruction.

I call in Monday at 11:56am and am told the table was sold. No heads up, nothing, they sold the table right out from under me despite our written correspondence. After expressing my annoyance, Kenton showed absolutely no remorse or empathy for the situation I was now in (I had already lined up a shipper to arrive on the 20th), and simply said this is how he does business.

I find this incredibly ironic as to quote their website, “The definition of quality is a product that never comes back and a client that does.” Clearly they do not care about expanding their clientele list, as this would have been my first purchase from them.

In the course of our phone call, Kenton also made a very snide comment that had I not attempted to negotiate on price on Saturday, the table would have been mine. I simply asked if they would accept $2500 for the $3000 table, an offer I think anyone would agree is not offensive. When Kenton said no, I then accepted the $3000 offer. So because of this interaction, they feel justified in selling the table out from under me.

If I could rate 15 stars I would. I ordered for the first time from Niagara. Emailed a few questions and the customer service was top notch. Great follow through. Then I had a change to my order. No problem at all. I was going to be traveling a few days and wanted to make sure that I’d be home for delivery. More than happy to change shipping dates if needed.

Then. The chairs arrived. On a pallet. With HEAVY duty cardboard surrounding the inner boxes. Open the inner boxes and the chairs are wrapped, and underneath, dust bags. For storage or vacation time. You don’t have to get out your dust sheets.

The quality is amazing. Beautiful detail work that you can tell was done by someone who knows wood, who knows furniture, and who knows when something is good enough to send to a customer. Finish-excellent. Upholstery...its a subtle strip and every single stripe perfectly straight.

Shippers were even great. Friendly, courteous, brought the pallet into the garage because I had enough room for it. Thanked me for my business.

I’m awestruck by the exquisite designs and craftsmanship offered by Niagara Furniture.

I always thought new furniture with high quality and timeless designs were out of reach. Vintage pieces and antiques were so much more interesting and affordable than today’s trendy, “disposable” furniture. But after discovering Niagara I was thrilled to buy 9 classic mahogany pieces, all with elegant designs and fine details: a dining table with 4 chairs, a sideboard, two book cases and a file cabinet.

Under Matt and Kenton, the entire sales cycle was delightful! They even figured out how to modify the inlaid wood design on my dining chairs, and agreed to use antique hardware that I provided on the sideboard & file cabinet. The delivery also went very smoothly, with a really professional crew making sure every piece was handled without a scratch.

As for the manufacturing, let’s just say that every single piece exceeded my expectations!!! See for yourself in the photos attached below.
