Riley Kilmer, our sales consultant, from the time we came through Martin Appliance’s doors until the time we finalized our purchase was one of the most professional, personable, knowledgeable and customer focused people we have ever met! We came in wanting to browse Martin’s inventory mainly looking to replace our refrigerator, but in the end we walked away with a new dishwasher…a new washing machine…and yes, the new refrigerator we came for in the first place. Riley’s patience was incredible and his product knowledge was extremely helpful! We weren’t committed to any specific manufacturer so we switched endlessly throughout our buying experience but Riley’s professional recommendations helped us gravitate to the BEST models for the BEST value leading to our total satisfaction and complete confidence with our purchases! Riley’s hospitality was also second nature with offers of coffee, water and diet soda along with his proactive offer of rebates on each appliance plus signing us up for zero interest financing was above and beyond and greatly appreciated! James Kilmer led us through dishwasher, refrigerator, washer/dryer, and grill selection. He is easy to work with and knows the products well. Rod Martin met us at our new place during construction and expertly met our needs on a central vacuum system and water system. He's professional and very knowledgeable of construction details that can impact installation. He also coordinated scheduling of the installations so things got done in the right order.
Now on to installation. Top end appliances and systems aren't worth the money if the installation is substandard. Every installation done for us by Martin Appliance (at least 13 units to date) has been done with care and expert fit. For our new home, Shaun and Dave on the central vac, Luke on the water system, and two other great guys, Brandon and James, on the appliances all did excellent jobs. Boot covers, surface protection, appliance fit, professional attitude in the middle of movers' chaos, and helpful orientations--these guys do it all.
And when you call in to Martin Appliance, you get help every time. We had an issue with an appliance installed by another "appliance store" who did a poor job. Dean offered a solution. Most places would tell you: You didn't buy it here, so we won't help you. Dean went the extra mile for us.

Read moreMy husband and I purchased a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator a year and four months ago from Martin’s Appliance in Cleona. We bought local from a family owned company. We did not buy the service agreement assuming that the product would last a few years without problems. Our last refrigerator lasted 18 years with NO service calls. It was a Kenmore. A week and a half ago our refrigerator started making a horrible noise. We called Martin’s and since it was still cooling, they said they would be out in a week. Two gentlemen showed up today and worked on the refrigerator for 1/2 hour. They sent us a bill via email, and I noticed that we were being charged for parts. There were no parts in our repair. I called the office about this and spoke to a very nice young lady. She sent me another copy of the bill only this time it showed no parts, but the new bill exactly matched the old bill . I wonder how they could do that? She said she would have the service department manager call me. Tim called me. He treated me like a three year-old and kept saying the same thing over and over again: that it was an IT problem. The bill was $236.27 for a half an hour of work and no parts. Tim made it sound like it was my fault for not buying a service contract. Don’t buy from Martins Appliance because they do not stand behind their products.
