Bottom line: If you value your money and time, take your device to a reputable business and don't bother with this clown.

Things started out nicely. The man was friendly, his prices were reasonable, and he fixed my phone quickly. However, less than two weeks after he repaired my device, the replacement screen went bad. I hadn't even used the device yet; it had been sitting on my desk unused since I brought it home from his shop. It wasn't until I powered it up to put a sim in it that I even discovered the issue. When I sent him a picture of the phone and asked him about the bad screen, he first insisted that the screen was "fractured" and that's why the screen looked the way it did. Well, as you can see in the picture that I've attached to this review (same picture that I showed him), the screen is obviously not fractured, cracked, or damaged in any way. When I then asked if there was any sort of warranty on his labor or parts, he effectively told me no.

He then tried to make the case that some pressure must have been applied to the screen to make it fail as it did. I don't buy it. Any pressure great enough to damage the screen like that should have cracked, fractured, or damaged the glass and, as you can see in the photo, the screen remains in physically perfect shape.

Clearly, whatever parts he is using are cheap and prone to failure.

During the COVID era, most business are closed, especially Apple. When one door closes, others open. I needed three batteries replaced for my wife’s iPhoneX, my sister-in-law’s iphone7, and my own iPhoneX. Me and my wife’s batteries were below 80% after over two years of constant use.

Mr. Telephone Man came to the house, and was incredibly accommodating. To promote safety he wore a mask the entire time, wipes down the phones with alcohol for disinfecting, and accepts Venmo for contactless payments. The repairs were swift and prompt, pretty much in and out in no time, with a pleasant conversation.

My sister in law’s phone was a last minute additional service, and he was flexible and accommodating in that regard as well. My sister in law’s screen was going out, and he replaced that too. He even applied screen protectors to my wife and sister’s devices as they were cracked.

It’s a blessing in disguise when the apple stores are closed, because we now have a very reliable technician that is dependable and delivers fantastic service should we need any work done in the future.
