(White person writing) One of the most fascinating stores in town! One part has these kiosks/booths where they sell an assortment of items (beauty products, shoes, music, toys, DVD's, etc.) Next we have the grocery store, it's not the biggest, but they have enough to offer: noodles, rice, sauces, snacks, tofu, some produce, beverages, and this is also including the best bowl of instant noodles that I've ever tried (had a packet that contained real meat for $1.30)! Finally there's the food court in the back, which offers up some real authentic Asian cuisine! Since I've originally posted this review, I've finally tasted one of their Pho noodle soups at their little food court... man did I get a little adventure out of that! In the soup's picture it looked like it had little cubes of beef, and with no hint of any of the ingredients that were in the soup, save for the image on display, and a name for the dish written in a language I don't speak; anyway I ordered it. Turns out what I thought were beef cubes, was something that had more the texture of tofu, but with a more savory flavor, but the cubes were the color of a cooked steak; and I still thought it was tofu, just maybe some more ingredients. I ask the lady who served me: "What kind of tofu is this?" She replies: "That's not tofu, that's pig's blood." OK! When I wanted authentic, I got authentic! How they congealed the blood to the consistency of tofu is beyond me, but overall I actually recommend the "pig's blood soup"! It was tasty and gave my taste buds...

The wife and I have been going to the Milwaukee store called 5XEN Market for years. We finally decided to give this place a visit. We came during the closing time, so there really was not a lot of people. Simple place. Clean. Trying to be like MN stores. Basic stuff. One major supermarket, few clothes stores (flee market style), and a food court. About 5-6 food restaurants.
We tried two food restaurants,
Kaoly's: I had the chicken/rice. Was good! Good size too.
Thai bubble tea: My wife had some papaya. That was a fail. She also had the Mangonada, which was below average.
For now, we are going to stick to our 5XEN location, because this place was too far for us Michigan travelers. Recommend getting the chicken/rice at Kaoly's.
Highly Recommended if you live close to Appleton/Greenbay.
