Imagine diving into a plate so indulgent, it feels like the ultimate breakfast challenge. The Lumberjack Skillet, a.k.a. Meat Lover’s Skillet, is not just a meal; it’s an experience. The first bite greets you with a perfect balance of mildly spicy sausage and savory ham, harmonized into a flavor so addictive, you just keep reaching for more... and more. Trust me, one bite won't be enough.
The aroma hits you first: the mouthwatering smell of cooked ham, sausage, and subtle spices wafting from the steaming plate. It's the kind of smell that stops all conversation at the table. The eggs? Fluffy perfection, just as I ordered. The potatoes? Soft and subtly crispy, a crisp so delicate you might miss it (though personally, I’d love a little more crunch).
Presentation-wise, this dish arrives as a heaping mountain of breakfast greatness. Think fresh, steaming eggs perched atop a bed of subtly spicy meats, finished with a fresh slice of creamy avocado (as requested). It’s a masterpiece of simplicity and satisfaction.
As for the vibe? Monday morning between 10 and 11 is the sweet spot. The place was quiet, clean, and calm, with plenty of open seating. The fresh, comforting aroma of the kitchen hung in the air, a smell that felt like home, like care and appreciation went into every dish.
The service? Prompt, but I’d have loved a few more check-ins to make sure everything was perfect. That said, huge ups to the cooks! They’re the real MVPs of this spot. If you’re a fan of skillets, omelets, or hearty breakfasts that don’t hold back, this place is a must-visit. Oh, and don’t skip the biscuits and gravy, they’re...
Read moreWent here for breakfast this morning. Hands down, the worst food experience i have had in my whole entire life.
The food itself was not great. Four people total at our table and all of our food was pretty much cold when it got to us. Plain tasting, undercooked sausage, gross soggy eggs. But that is all subjective. What is not subjective is the TERRIBLE service we got.
I got here at about 10 with friends. No body came to ask us about drinks or anything. After 20 minutes of no one acknowledging we were there, had to flag down the girl cleaning tables just to get our coffee and drinks.
Another 15 minutes before our actual waitress came to our table. That is over half an hour to even get our waitress. We didn't get an apology or anything, but instead got a bunch of attitude from the waitress. Very unprofessional.
Another 30 minutes before our food got to our table. We have now been sitting at our table for over an hour just to get our food from our attitude filled waitress, who barely visited our table throughout our meal as well. The girl who was cleaning tables came by our table asking if we wanted coffee refills more than our actual waitress came to the table.
Overall, very upset with this. While sitting and waiting, we watched a table get filled with a new customer and saw that customer get her food and finish her meal before we ever got our food. Will not be coming here ever again. They need to rethink how they serve people. Honestly quite...
Read moreI decided to treat myself to a nice breakfast this morning. Although I understand it was very busy at the time I arrived, the waitress was not the least personable. I ordered the eggs Benedict poached over medium. I asked that my hashbrowns be extra, extra crispy. However, my English muffin wasn’t toasted, the eggs were poached hard, and the hash browns were barely brown. In fact, most of them were not brown at all. The hollandaise sauce was the highlight of the meal. Although the wait staff half-heartedly offered to bring the plate back to cook the hash browns further I had waited long enough and told her I didn’t want to the eggs to get cold. She didn’t say anything’s and just left the plate for me. I hoped to be compensated for not eating the hash browns. That didn’t happen. In addition, the waitress never checked in with me once I had actually started eating my breakfast. When I went to pay, the bill, the cashier asked me if everything was good. I said no. She said I’m sorry. I told her all of the above things and each time she just said she was sorry. I said I was hoping for some compensation and she said she was sorry. That was it. I paid my bill and left; likely to never...
