Gainesville Florida pavers — Local services in Archer

I’ve been wanting a patio behind our house for years: someplace to set up a grill or just hang out and enjoy the sunset on pleasant evenings. The short version of this story is that I contacted Gainesville Florida Pavers and two weeks later I had a patio and walkway behind the house that exceeded all expectations.

The longer (much longer) version is that I found Gainesville Florida Pavers through a Google search. They responded to my inquiry within a few hours and were at my house the next day to take measurements and scope the project in order to provide a quote. It didn’t occur to me until we were all standing in my back yard that I didn’t have a clear plan for what I wanted. “Not a problem,” I was told, and they worked with me as I walked around, marking the ground as I eyeballed the rough area I had in my mind. It wasn’t long before I had a sketch of my patio drawn out on the ground. After measuring the area they provided a preliminary quote on the spot and provided a formalized quote later the same evening, and the quote itself was VERY reasonable. The contract clearly outlined the work to be performed, what I should expect from them as the contractor and what they expected from me as the customer.

After selecting a paver style, they encouraged me to come to their office to see the pavers in context, something beyond what could be visualized from a photo or sample board. So the following Monday, I made the drive to Archer, FL and I’m glad that I did. Seen in scale, the color of the pavers I had selected was far richer than what I was looking for. Yamilet, one of the team members of Gainesville Florida Pavers noticed the colors I was leaning towards and suggested a new variation. She nailed it. I was able to see it both sealed and unsealed, and it was exactly what I was looking for.

We had previously discussed the idea of putting in a bench and fire pit, but had put that on a list of “future projects” to consider. Of course they had examples of the benches and fire pits at their office. I asked for one more change to the quote, and the bench and fire pit came off of the future projects list and onto the quote.

On the day construction was schedule to begin they arrived on time and worked until it was too dark to see. They worked this way for every day of the project. Through each step of the project they asked if I had any questions and made sure I understood what they were doing and verifying my satisfaction with the results. The project was finished a full day ahead of schedule.

This project was a significant investment for me. I was VERY nervous at the beginning about pulling the trigger to have it done. The professionalism, friendliness and pride in craftsmanship exhibited by the team from Gainesville Florida Pavers eliminated any anxieties I may have harbored at the start. All of our interactions felt personal. I cannot overstate how happy I am with the finished product. I still have future projects in mind for walkways and planters and will not hesitate to contact them for those jobs as well.

Mr. Wilson and his crew did a fantastic job with installing a beautiful side entrance walkway for us. This is our 3rd paver walkway project, but our first with Gainesville Florida pavers. We wish we had called them for the first 2 projects! The most important parts of hiring any professional in the Gainesville area, in our opinion, is if they actually return your calls, show up for an estimate (on time), and timely complete the project. Gainesville Florida pavers past the test with flying colors. Communication from start to finish was easily accomplished through Yami, who called and texted us throughout the project. The estimate and scope of work that was provided was clear and included pictures of our proposed job site. On day two of the project, it started to rain lightly, and then very heavily. Mr. Wilson and his crew member worked in the light rain and didn't stop until the heavy downpour. Instead of stopping the job for the day, they waited out the rain and completed the job within the timeframe quoted to us. The project also included installing an underground extension for a drainpipe and removing and reinstalling the fence gate. Both were done skillfully. The whole experience from start to finish was 5 stars. We have a very busy schedule and we don't live locally so Yamilet and Wilson were amazing at accommodating our schedules to meet in person to choose the product, sent me pictures when product was delivered to confirm, and scheduled installation when we could be on site. This was a total transformation from a backyard mud pit with no path from the front driveway to a beautiful usable very large patio with wide paths to and from the front gate. Very kind, professional, whole family involved which was nice to see, bilingual, and didn't bat an eyelash if I pointed out a paver I wanted switched out or one with spots on it from the concrete mix. Also, came back immediately when the concrete powder left residue on my blacktop driveway and power washed more than they needed to.
