I'm going to be as short and To-the-point as possible since I never had any work done by these people, but from the interaction I've had over the phone, that was enough to compel me to write a review...I work 2x Jobs, averaging 60 hours a week MINIMUM and have a hard time finding time to get to a groomer for my service dog. However, I called American Pet Spa in between commuting to my night shift from my morning shift, Hoping to get an appointment 3 weeks in advance for my service dog. Unfortunately I was sorely disappointed... I called on Monday, talked to the receptionist, who could not give me the answers I asked for, so the receptionist left a note for the grooming manager who was supposed to get back to me on Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around, I receive no call. I called back on Tuesday before they close only to be informed that the grooming manager had the day off on Tuesday so she would have to get back to me on Wednesday. Fair enough, I wait 'till right before they close on Wednesday to call back and ask why I haven't received a call back only to be greeted by a manager (Since they obviously have more than 1). I'm so irritated by the incapability of being called back within a reasonable time frame when I haven't even been able to make an appointment yet, that I hung up. I call back the following Saturday since it is the only day I have a half a day off, And I am told by the 2nd manager that he has been updated on "my situation" and that I would only hinder the efficiency and operation of the dogs being groomed by being present while my service dog is being groomed.In a nutshell, If you expect prompt service and at the very least answers to special inquiries / requests, These people will not give it to you. What you can expect is that they will give you the run-around and waste whatever precious time you have. I would however go so far as to speak about how unprofessional it is to not even give a potential lifetime customer a call back to answer some questions in a timely fashion.I am now going with a mobile groomer from fort worth that will bend to every special request I have for a higher price and even mold to my schedule, and not their own.Horrible experiences with American Pet Spa &...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter scheduled to have her kitten boarded at the Argyle location. She spoke with a man several times and followed all the directions she was given as far as sending vet records and getting supplies.
When we arrived to drop off the kitten, we were given completely different information from the woman working at the front desk. She said the VetCo had not sent records, that she had emailed my daughter, and because the kitten hadnāt had her booster shots she couldnāt stay.
None of what the employee said was true. She had not emailed my daughter, and she had received the complete vet record because my daughter had emailed it herself. The employee claimed that she is the only person who answers the phone, but my daughter never spoke to a woman, only to a man. The employee also refused to tell us her name and wouldnāt listen to us. Even before she decided my daughterās kitten couldnāt stay she was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.
The employee cancelled the boarding appointment while we were still in the parking lot, which is the only email she ever sent. My husband then spoke with her to ensure that you would not keep the deposit nor charge for the cancelled stay.
Now we are faced with driving 13 hours out of state holding a kitten in a carrier, tryIng to figure out how to handle litter and food. Please be assured that we will never attempt to use an American Pet Spa again, and we will let all of our friends with pets know how your employee treated us.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was initially very excited about this place. The facilities are clean and absolutely adorable. Prices were reasonable and amenities were an added bonus. However, after my dog's first stay I do not plan to board here again. Upon pickup I discovered several problems. They immediately informed me that my dog's food had run out. This was extremely odd as I had counted portions with one extra for good measure. An employee then told me that she misread the directions and gave one and a half scoops (3 cups) instead of the 1 and a half cups as was required. Seeing as how my dog is only 30 lbs there should have been an immediate red flag. I asked for a nail trim during my dogs stay and, seeing as how her nails are just as long as before, this did not happen. As this was her first visit, she was also signed up for a pool trial. I was told during booking that after her trial I would receive a call to tell me how she did. This was very important to me as I have never taken her in water and wanted to know how she likes it. They never called and when I asked about it they had no record of her trial. Finally, when a third staff member handed me the items I left with them he said that the blanket had been peed on. I do not know how close to pickup this happened but my dog does not pee on her bed. To make matters worse the blanket had not been cleaned in the slightest but had still been placed in her fabric bag with her fabric toys. By the time I got home the entire thing smelled awful. I was so excited about this place but in this case looks were deceiving. I will not be bringing...
