Vinckier Foods — Local services in Armada Township

This store is a perfect example of how ineffective management has a direct correlation to, bad service, unhappy workers, and high turnover. I have never seen such poor quality management and ownership as this store. Here are a few examples of what this store does. The owner of the store Lori is completely absent from her role as not only the owner, but the leader of the stores management. She rarely comes into her locations, and cant even say hello let alone learn the names of her employees. When she does come in, its never good news. Its either to ridicule or fire an employee. Which, she never does directly. She will tell one of her mindless drones of managers to do her bidding. That takes me to the management. Armada is a pretty tight knit community so I am sure most of you reading this know of the store manager Tiffany. She is the mindless drone I spoke of earlier. She is asked to dance my Lori and Lori tells her how high. Basically, she is a puppet. The absolute worst manager I have ever witnessed in my life. She will schedule employees when specifically told other wise. Never encourages employees or directs them in anyway other than to deride them (Sorry if that's too big of a word for you to understand Tiffany). Without warning, I have witnessed her terminate employment from many hardworking employees. That is usually done when they ask for a raise, or don't dance like she does for management. There is so much I would like to say about this store but it will simply take me forever to do so. Bottom line, do not shop here. There is no respect among the management for their employees. Though it has the charm of a small town grocery store and also includes a hardware section and a deli, Vinckier's is overpriced and underwhelming with its customer satisfaction. I have been shopping there for a year and a half now and have been there recently twice in a time span of 2 weeks. Both times I was turned away by their staff while attempting to return bottles and cans that were purchased from Vinckiers in the first place. On top of the staff's lack of helpfulness and enthusiasm, their deli is usually out of their more popular sides like potatoes salad, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and main dishes like their fried chicken more often than it should. I used to shop there out of the convenience of it being located less than a mile down the road, but after several months of being disappointed continuousely, I would seriously rather drive 20+ minutes away for better prices, selection and customer satisfaction. Wonderfull store. Very kind staff please be aware that it’s not a huge chain like Kroger so the prices may be higher on some items. The bakery is awesome. They make some wonderful cakes things you would expect at a cake shop. Just over all a nice small toe grocery store one can go to when they forgot to buy an ingredient need a few things or just need to shop for the week . Nice place for a small town grocery store.

Edit They again are not a chain like Kroger so they do not get the product for the same price as the chains ( I think it should be the same for all grocery stores but no they pay different prices for the same products not fair) In order to make a profit they have to make money they have to charge more just like Krogers prices have gone up so have this stores please understand why and I think someone needs to make it fair for all grocery stores.
