I went to the Eliada Corn Maze with my family on Saturday. When we arrived we went in the building and paid our admission. My kids really did enjoy the corn maze and the activities they had there however, I am giving 2 stars on my review because although my kids enjoyed themselves, we had a negative experience with a staff/volunteer member. My older son who is 3 has Autism and after going through the smallest part of the maze he wanted to ride the hay ride. We saw the tractor drop some people off and drive away so we were waiting for it to come back in the same area it just dropped off. Having Autism, my son gets impatient sometimes. So after about 10 minutes of waiting (it was very hot that day) we went to sit at some tables nearby with a tarp over them to get out of the sun while we waited and get my son to calm down. After maybe 5 minutes of sitting here, a young woman drove over on a utility vehicle and asked us if we were there for a party. I told her no we werenât. She then tells us, âWeâll just so you know this is our party area. And we have a party coming in about an hour.â We had no idea because there was no sign or anything saying you couldnât sit there if you didnât rent it for a party. Which I honestly didnât even know they did parties. I replied by saying âOh ok. We were just sitting here waiting on the tractor because he just dropped some people off here.â She tells us the tractor picks people up at a different area and points. And again thereâs no sign so I had no idea. She then asks us âWell did you guys pay?â Now this is where I became offended. I was not rude with my reply, I simply said, âYes, we paid to get in here.â Then she says. âOk coolâ and drives away a little bit before stopping. At this time we are gathering our stuff and moving from their party area and she waits until she sees us leave the tables before completely driving off. At this point the tractor is still nowhere in sight and after this experience we decided to leave. Now see, we would have never sat at the party area had we known and it be labeled somehow. So it was understandable to be asked to move from there. But I was completely offended to be asked if we paid to get in. This is a nonprofit organization who is supposed to care about children. I brought my kids here to have a good time and yes we paid. And if you people care about the money so much that you have to offend people by asking if they paid, maybe you should give people wristbands or stamps on the hand so you can make sure you got their money instead of flat out...
Read moreWe went there last year 2021 around Halloween time with our 2 yo and 3 yo. The teenage kids who live on the property break out of their house, were rude to one other visitor, punched a lady in her chest. My husband tried to stepped in, the kid spit in his face and started chasing us yelling "Go away from our property ", as we were living after being there not even 10 mins. The "Employee-volunteer" said they're understaffed and can't do anything about it, suggested everyone to promptly leave "and immediately drive away, before they damage your cars" we also said "we'll refund your the tickets " đł. We ran in our car and drove away without even buckling our toddlers. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE! If you want to support them, send them a check! What a...
Read moreWonderful place for family. Only complaints were that beer was served and I think some groups got a bit out of hand. For instance, one group was throwing corn into the maze and being loud and obnoxious with their friends in the maze. It almost hit our infant son. We walked up on another guy urinating in the maze. We heard a bit of cursing but if those individuals had not been there we would have had a more relaxing...
