First things first, limited space for dining in, mostly a to-go style experience. No, this is not a NY style Chinese food spot, but it is a great "Americanized" spot. I'm sure some things are traditional, but I am no expert, I just love their food. Asian Wok on New Leicester Hwy... is #1 on my list of affordable and tasty AF food spots. When the food is this good you gotta protect it, so it rides shotgun and buckled in. Their roast pork fried rice is our go to, and will change the minds of those that dont normally like yellow fried rice. It is perfectly cooked, not mushy with fresh carrot, peas, and onions with chunks of their roast pork. 🤤 The wife and I almost always get it instead of the white rice when I order large portions. Which I did with my large Xtra Spicy Hunan Chicken and her with the "LUNCH PORTION" of General Tsao Chicken... don't forget that delicious egg drop soup with extra crunchy noodles! The Hunan Chicken is sliced chicken and very fresh vegetables (onions, carrots, zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms, and snow peas) in a savory, salty, and spicy sauce. I always get more of that Hunan Sauce on the side, even when I only get a large order of House Fried Rice, it is that good. Her General Tsao was chunks of breaded chicken in a sweet sauce with a hint of spice, both were huge portions and fresh. All of this food was $34 and some change.. or $40 with tip, because I love the family and I have been going here for around 8 years. Stick to the Chinese food. (Hibachi and others are better at other places).

Finally. A solid place to get Chinese food and the prices are stellar. They've got a million cheap lunch and dinner combos, but take a few minutes to go through the menu, there's some gems in there. This place is fully takeout, so order in advance online or expect to wait in the bare-bones "lobby". tldr The flavors are rich The portions are generous The food is well made The fry oil tasted fresh The coating on the sweet and sour pork was perfect - light and crispy and still crispy the next day after sitting overnight in the fridge. So tasty I ate it cold with the sweet and sour sauce slightly warmed. 5/5 The pork in the lo-mein wasn't my favorite but the richness of the sauce and the texture of the noodles more than made up for it. 4/5 The pork egg roll had a great crisp. It was a little small for $2, but the filling was tasty. 5/5 The egg foo yong was a bit overcooked but the interior was flavorful and the gravy was better than any I've had before. I loved that it wasn't thick like a brown American gravy and was more like an au-jus viscosity. 5/5

Give a general amount of food. I spent $30 on me and my boyfriend just to receive not only a burnt egg roll but also from stringy chicken that I ended up giving to my dogs. I got the sesame seed chicken. Maybe I should have read the comment about the sesame chicken before I purchase it. I'll get this Asian store one more chance but I'm never spending over $20 ever again. But the service is fast and they are friendly on the phone.

The employees were lovely! The host and our server Romeo (5 ⭐️! He was great, really) especially were very attentive and warm despite the place being busy. As for the food, the portions were big and satisfied our craving for Chinese food.

Only giving 3 stars because I overheard what seemed to be the manager/owner yelling at the staff in the kitchen in the back. For context, I had been a customer for an hour and observed how busy the place was and the servers were all working HARD. One server had forgotten to take out a plate of sesame chicken to a table and so the food was cold when it served.

The manager/owner, after telling the customer they would have it replaced, then proceeded to the kitchen where she yelled at the staff/a staff member for a good 2-3 minutes. We were sitting at the table in front and could hear it from where we were sitting. I understand her wanting to appease the other customer but it was extremely unprofessional and rude for her to address the staff in that manner. It was distasteful and really showed what kind of work environment she cultivates 👎🏼 I hope it was a one time thing or else I wouldn't be surprised if her staff ended up quitting...
