My husband and I were building a new home in The Ramble from a long distance in 2023. We were at a point where we needed help to pull the architectural details together with the interior design elements. We were at a crossroad where an interior designer’s guidance on furniture, light fixtures, rugs, tile selection and window treatments was desperately needed. We couldn’t have been more excited to meet Cortney with Yesterday’s Tree, who made the transition from a construction project—to our beautiful new home—a wonderful experience. From the moment we met Cortney we felt we were in good hands—she took a monumental project and made it fun! Yesterday’s Tree is by far the best furniture and design studio in Asheville. The store is centrally located, long time Asheville family owned/operated, and equipped with experienced designers ready to assist. Yesterday’s Tree inviting environment has a beautiful selection of ready made furniture, accents, accessories, gifts for any occasion, and constant new arrivals. My clients and I throughly enjoy the convenience of being able to custom order fine furniture from a multitude of manufacturers in the design fabric studio attached the store. Everything from furniture, light fixtures, to window treatments this store has it all! I have shopped this store a few times over the decades, most recently after Helene plowed thru Asheville. They were allowing folks in on a limited basis as they still did not have water. Beautiful furniture, upholstery fabrics and decor. Jayme was so kind and helpful as I was trying to find fabric to recover a chair. I haven’t figured it out yet - trying to piece together with other fabrics in the room. She was also willing to recommend a store that might be more in my price point ( my build ran over budget which took the majority of my interior and exterior furniture budget.)
