Patton Avenue Pet Company- South - with Self Service Dog Wash — Local services in Asheville

If I could leave no stars I would , I have tried to understand the owner of this place but how they have treated me is ridiculous for a self serve wash . I have brought maybe 2 random dogs ( from people I know) just trying to help them by washing their dog for them . I also brought my two personal dogs , just from some background information. There was never a problem until I came in again and was doing check in like normal when a staff member told me that I specifically couldn’t use thier bath tubs when I asked why they said the last time I was there a dog I bathed left fleas in the tub ( not my dog ) I said oh ok and I tried to explain that it wasn’t my dog and I was sorry that happened, then she told me that I’d have to talk to the owner . THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IM HEARING ABOUT THIS . So I just decided whatever and I try again at a different store and they let me . Then a couple of months past and I try again at the store that let me from before and their manager said that I couldn’t and I was banned ??? I was confused so I emailed the owner and she told me that I had multiple warnings but I was only told once in person and I was very apologetic and told the lady, I didn’t know this. The owner told me that she had emailed me which is true. She did email me ONCE but I didn’t even see the email. I was very reasonable with the owner and very apologetic and I told her that I understood but still, she double down and told me I was banned even though I told her I will triple check to make sure no dogs have fleas while using her facility…..This place is a joke anybody can come in there at any time and their dog have fleas, while I understand they don’t want that to happen because it’s a business there is no requirements that they have set in place for bathing at all… No rabies shot no inspection upon arrival… I don’t recommend this place at all because the level of...

Lucky to have this local shop on Hendersonville Rd now. Great selection, fair prices, competitive with online stores, especially if you take advantage of the buy 12 get one bag free that many brands offer. They also often have specials, discounts, free bags of high quality treats with certain purchases. I am on their newsletter so can keep up with the deals. The best part though is the staff. They are the BEST. It seems that all of them own multiple pets and know so much about animal nutrition. They also know their products, the pros and cons of different brands, good choices for picky eaters, etc. I don't know how they know so much, either good training or they are just passionate about it. And they are so friendly! The store also offers many products as risk free purchases--my dog all of a sudden stopped liking this one brand of raw food, out of nowhere. They gave me store credit for the rest of the bag and switched me to another brand that he is now obsessed with. Can't say enough about this place. We buy all of our dog and cat food here. I'm going to buy a doggy sweater there...

Our family loves Patton Avenue Pet Company. We took our Cavalier King Charles (he loves his bath time and adored Soapy Dog) to use the new state of the art bathing facilities. They do not provide combs (we bought one) and only have the industrial type dryer which was too loud and powerful even for me. A regular human hair dryer would be a nice alternative. If you have a dog that gets mats take your own scissors as they will not let you use theirs. For some reason they thought we wanted scissors to give him a hair cut. They were thoughtful in giving a cup of treats. Also you have to dry your pet in the same tub he was washed in which is too low for grooming.
