Family Dollar — Local services in Ashville

The store is always empty of customers. That means easy shopping, a clean store and the shelves are always stocked. Over 2 weeks after Christmas and they still had tons of Christmas items on sale. I bought up quite a bit, and I wondered why they still had all this christmas stuff so late after Christmas. Well, no one shops here. The staff here are not friendly or inviting. None of them have a warm or caring personality. They don't speak to you even when you speak to them. They never smile. They made several errors during my checkout, and when I returned to have the amounts corrected, they didn't even care it had happened. No apology. They actually acted bothered they had to help me. The employees make you feel uncomfortable or the store itself feels uninviting. I usually come in and can't wait to get out. That was the second time I had to return because I was charged the wrong amount. Also, coupons do not attach properly at checkout. I have picked up the exact item in the ad, double-checked it with the ad, and the coupon wouldn't attach at checkout. This has happened multiple times. If you notice, there are very few online coupon videos for this company. This store is also about .50 higher on a lot of items than the competitor down the road. Ok, full disclosure: this is where I work, so there's bias involved. Do with that information what you will. We work hard to present the best store we possibly can, we go the extra mile to assist our customers, & we try to make everyone's visit a positive experience. For any company to let it get a store, get as bad as this store has. There's grass pine straw in the floor inside. There's so much trash on the floor inside this family Dollar. This is disgraceful to customers the people that work there are acting childish get over yourselves clean that stuff up.
