Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Ashville

Don’t shop here. I’ve bought cereal from here before & it was way of date. Also, it was very expensive for a box of cereal. My husband goes to this grocery store frequently. Unfortunately it’s the only one in Ashville. Each time he has to go back to this store ...why? Because they don’t give him all his bags when he leaves. The teenagers that work there stay on their phones & don’t pay attention as they are checking people out. This last time the manager did it. When he got home (15 min away) he had to go back to the store to get the rest of our groceries. The manager just said ‘sorry’. She had the groceries he had paid for under the register. Probably going to take them home with her!! The last time I shopped at this piggly wiggly it was in the middle of the summer & they were charging $6 for a small box of strawberries. Price gougers!!! This place has really gone downhill since I moved here three years ago. Packages keep getting smaller and prices are outrageous. .I spent $119 my last trip and came away with hardly anything...can't even afford snacks here anymore either...a bag of chips is $5. I look at their reduced items regularly and they are being tight with these items too...reduced pack of hotdogs for $3.25? You're kidding, right? I'm going to B and B discount store asap, I've had no ride there because my vehicle is broke down...I doubt I'll be back to P W. Forgot to mention hardly any produce here....most times the produce is old and shriveled up....

I’d like to give a sincere thank you to this store. Not only for friendly service, but going above and beyond. The meat department has taken care of my needs several times now. They willingly sliced a #7 turkey ham for me that I pay a hefty price for from Amazon. No other store around will touch it because it was not purchased from their store. But… Piggly Wiggly in Ashville takes care of it each time… no questions and no charge! That goes a LONG way as far as customer service goes. I’m a very happy and loyal...
