My cousin and I had signed up for 10 classes with Linda shortly after Christmas as a fun winter activity to do together. I was completely new to sewing and knew absolutely nothing about sewing machines. Linda had me sewing the first day! She was nothing short of amazing! Very knowledgeable and patient with such a positive uplifting spirit. She guides you through and also shows you firsthand what to do on the times you might get stuck so you can continue to learn how to problem solve on your own too!! Also teaches “good habits” as you’re learning so you can keep yourself organized and follow through each time. I now have a sewing machine of my own that I use all the time. I feel confident to tackle new projects i find and will definitely keep sewing!! I also would like to mention, Linda was widely knowledgeable about different machines! So if you have a machine you prefer to work on or want to know more about, Linda is wonderful with problem solving with you and helping you to feel confident to use it and get to know your machine! In ten classes we completed 7 projects! (Some being an apron, pot holder, and a quilted pillow!) It was an absolute pleasure learning from Linda. Highly highly recommend for anyone looking to learn a new skill, sharpen their skills up, or anything in between!!! Thank you Linda for a wonderful 10 classes!!! I will be sure to...
Read moreI came to Linda recently with an engagement photo dress that I really needed altered. It fit too big in the arms and bust along with the side seam. The dress had multiple layers, and linings, even a layer of eyelet fabric, and I truly wanted this dress to wear for a lifetime.
Linda took the extra steps not only to do a beautiful job on the alterations, but she also was sure to stitch the dress so I can wear it for years to come. She had a great approach in starting from the top down and didn’t even have to cut a single piece of fabric, and since I want this dress for years to come, it was the perfect approach.
She was timely and accommodating to my schedule as I work a bit later! I felt immediately welcome and she welcomed my opinion on the fit and offered suggestions on how to make the dress fit like I dreamt it would.
I cannot day enough wonderful things about my experience and I know I’ll be going back for many dresses and years to come! When in doubt, go to Linda!...
Read moreAt first I was excited. My main reasons for signing up for the classes were to learn how to make pencil skirts, and also to make the patterns for the skirts (which I conveyed several times). I signed up for 5 classes but was told that I needed more classes so I signed up for an additional 5 classes. To make a long story short, I was very patient with the process, however, I had to forego the last three classes because I was disappointed that I was still making “stuffs” from scrap materials, other than what I initially signed up for…wasted money and time that I would never get back!! After I forego the classes, I was sent a link to YouTube of how to make a pencil skirt.
In my opinion, this is more for arts and craft. I WOULD NOT recommend her for sewing/learning to make clothes. Your best bet would be to learn...
