Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero — Local services in Atascadero

This place was not where Terminator 2 was filmed at. That was filmed at both CSU Channel Islands (exterior) and the Lake View Medical center (interior) in San Fernando Valley. which was a former state hospital. People get confused because the name of the hospital is Pescadero State Hospital in the movie (which sounds like Atascadero except if it was a town for fishes). The interiors and exteriors do not even look the same as Atascadero State Hospital. It's not even on the IMDB listing or on any production notes.

It is a large structure and the life blood for employment in the North County. If Arnold filmed anything there it would of made huge news back in the early 90s. Having been alive back then with a family member working there, I would of heard about it. You also can't just film a movie in an active prison, let alone a state hospital that treats violent...
