Tuffer recovery from surgery. Dr Car checked up on me at the hospital and called at home to check up on me. Wonderful wonderful Dr. We felt we gained a friendship. Dr. Carr did a fusion in 2017. Something is just not right. My back goes out then I can’t even take a step forward without so much pain I almost pass out. He insists there is nothing wrong. If there is one piece of advice I can give anyone is do not have back surgery. Biggest regret of my life. I’m a registered nurse and I can’t say I’ve ever seen success. I was also put off when he told me to see him after a MRI and when I called. His staff said “that’s why we are here, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about “. Very unprofessional. While waiting in the waiting room overheard staff arguing with a patient on the phone then heard all about it after the call. I’m finally finished with this office. So many bad experiences and I keep going back hoping he can help...

Don't Delay having Dr. James B. Carr, M.D. assess your back pain/instability issues!!! I was a candidate for surgery in 2015 and FINALLY, after years of PT and two short-lived pain-relief epidurals, I came back to Dr. Carr, who was my second opinion orthopedist in 2017. I had successful, LONG OVERDUE, COFLEX device placed, that has been LIFE CHANGING for me in so many ways I just don't have room here . . . San Luis Obispo and California in general, is so very blessed to have your expert surgical skills . . . If you, or someone you know has given up on their back pain, please go through the paces with Dr. Carr, you will have your life...

Just wanted too take a minute as this is long overdue. I planned on doing this a while back! I am very happy to have met Dr Carr and his staff. Dr carr found issues no one else had found for me. That are now getting dealt with. Thank Dr. Carr. I got my knee done Wednesday. Also wanted to say. Thankyou Dr Carr for the amazing job you performed for my wife's disc replacement. You are an amazing surgeon. As well as a very knowledgable man. Thank you and your staff for everything you had done for us. I do and will continue to recommend Dr Carr to anyone that need help to contact...
