I'm very surprised at the experience that Mr. & Mrs. Manalo had at Athens Paint & Body. Sounds to me like the insurance company (Geico) got under their skin. My old insurance company (Geico) tried the same tactic. They tried to steer me to a body shop that they called a "Prefered Shop", which is one that they have in their pocket and tried to fix my car with Junk Yard and Imitation parts (Non OEM parts). However, no matter how difficult Geico tried to make it and obstacles they threw my way, I didn't give into their tricks and threats. Gecio told me that I was going to encounter "Out of Pocket Expenses", but at the end, Athens Paint & Body made sure to help me thru the whole process. I got my car fixed back to Factory Standards, and we kept it for another 5 years without any issues. That was back in the early 2000's, and I've been a customer ever since. Four claims later, I'm still loyal to APB, because I realized way back then that APB was working for me and not the insurance company. We got a quote for our vehicle at another body shop and were blown away at the price for so little damage. I had a friend with a novice show car that had all his work done at Athens Paint and body, so I gave them a try. Their quote was less than half of the other shop’s quote. What really surprised me was that when I shared this with them, they did not low rate the other shop. They actually offered fair explanation as to some of the other shops costs and why their quote was higher.

Needless to say, we went with Athens Paint and Body, they did forewarn me that the quote may be slightly higher but if so it would not be much. Almost a full day early, they called me to let me know our vehicle was ready and the original quote stood with no extra expenses.

We are so pleased with the finished product and the professionalism they showed by being supportive of the other shop’s quote.

Athens Paint and body were great to deal with and if we need paint or body work in the future, we will definitely be returning!

DO NOT GO HERE! We took my husband's car here to get looked at and they totally disassembled it and then they refused to cooperate with our insurance company. Our insurance company said this was definitely not the first time this has happened with this particular shop in Athens. They charge you over $100 in storage fees and since your car is disassembled you can't even go pick it up and move it somewhere else.

They are very sleazy, we left feeling totally taken advantage of. Customer service was awful as well. When we called to ask about the storage fees the woman in the phone replied "Well you don't pay us every month" as in since they're not our insurance they feel justified charging bs fees and not explaining it.

Absolutely worst experience ever. Literally any other shop in Athens would be less of a headache. The new place we took our car even knew of their reputation. How they have a 4.8 rating is mind boggling (fake reviews...
