if i could give 0 stars i would but i am doing 1 simply because the new lady the Caucasian lady is extremely courteous and sweet. I have been bitten by poisonous spiders since i moved here this year. Got out of the shower tonight and discovered my kitchen floor covered in water. Why? Because there is a sink hole in my bathroom upstairs and water has came through and is leaking all over through the ceiling. Maintenance guy tried hooking up with my wife and gave her his number and told us not to call the front office about maintenance issues anymore. I reported this to the lady in the front office and the owner of the property and all the lady who owns the property did was offer a portion off our rent that we have NEVER SEEN yet. This was in October. The only nice person in the office is the Caucasian lady i can't remember her name. The other lady however starts off nice then time you miss a rent payment and fall on hard times due to hospital bills from poisonous spiders and bug infestation in the house she will file eviction(which i know is only their job) then at court act like a completely different person that hates your guts and looks at you like you are so beneath her in every way. I usually don't write bad reviews but this is ridiculous and NOBODY SHOULD LIVE HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS. There are car loads of police that come through every night because it is not safe and as an officer told me "There are a lot of break ins that occur out here especially during the holidays." The places look nice but after you move in you start to notice all the problems slowly. Sink holes are all through the house in the rooms upstairs as well as painted over holes in the walls that you can push through with your bare hands. Don't waste your time or money here. This is absolutely ridiculous. Pictures are of the floor in my kitchen after i got out of the shower and the ceiling where you can see the different colors because it is wet and how they patched over it is now showing because...
Read moreI've lived here for just under 2 years now. Overall, it's a pretty good place to live for what we pay. Could be worse, but could also be better.
The Good: Rent price Carlos is super helpful with any maintenance issues and is always nice and prompt. He is always working hard. Unit layout and size Current office staff is nice and much better than when we moved in. Can always get parking in front of or not too far from my building. Close to downtown and the Loop Safe neighborhood
The Bad: The units need serious care/updating. The moldings, doors, walls, cabinets, etc. are all dented, stained, poorly painted, etc. Also, a lot of my kitchen draws screech upon opening because of age/being partially painted shut and there are permanent stains in the bathtubs and toilets since move in. Also, the model unit is in much better condition than the actual unit we moved into despite it also being "updated." The unit also wasn't ready when our lease started. Despite moving in 2 weeks after our lease started the stove/oven did not work at move in and the w/d hook-ups leaked. When we first moved in, the price we were quoted was $50 less per month than what was then put into our paperwork. I noticed the difference and they made the adjustment but did not tell us they processed it as a concession. This meant that when we went to renew the next year, our rent went up by an extra $50 on top of what they told us it would be because the "concession" expired. We only found this out after we had signed on for another year. There need to be more dog clean up stations. There are two near the front of the neighborhood but they should be throughout.
Things are not the fault of management--- People let their dogs off leash all the time, the walls are thin, and there are so many kids outside in the summer months that are loud (and yell/bark at...
Read moreDO NOT LIVE HERE. My roommate and I lived here over the course of two years and moved out July. Over the course of those two years, we experience numerous difficulties with our apartment and the staff. To name a few; black mold or mildew throughout the entire ventilation system of the apartment, multiple toilets not flushing at all, A roach infestation, a black widow infestation, Numerous break in attempts, car robberies, our ceilings falling through, rats and squirrels in the walls, and just a general unsafe environment. Management was horrible, the pool was in a state of swamp consistently. I had to have my window unit removed My room because it was full of black mold. From the time my roommate and I moved in We would get extremely sick constantly, Presumably from breathing in the mold. When we brought concerns about the mold to Management, they continuously neglected it , as well as tell me that it is just dust. There are no security cameras throughout the complex, dispite frequent bulguries. My roommate was attacked by a strung out naked man when she was leaving our apartment . Upon moving in, the toilet didn’t flush, the doors were falling off the hinges , The carpet was disgusting, and there was a huge rip in the middle of floor. All management wrote , “wear and tear.” Over $100 increase in rent by year you live there. Doors consistently fell off the hinges, Our blinds would fall down, our stove would cease to work, And there were roaches everywhere. We are clean people and cleaned every day, however the place was always disgusting. Pool was closed the entire summer. We didn’t have any animals, yet the apartment always smelled like animal pee since the day we moved in. Whatever you do, wherever you go, do...
