Farm Bureau Insurance — Local services in Athens

First and foremost, this review is not a reflection on Farm Bureau insurance as a company. I've been with Farm Bureau for nearly a decade and have no complaints. They are competitively priced and to the best of my knowledge, do the right thing, if and when the unfortunate time comes that you need them. This is solely a review directed at Michael Moody, his office and staff. To say they exhibit even the smallest amount of competence would be an overstatement. To say they return one in ten phone calls would be an exaggeration. To say Mr. Moody has ever returned, or in any way responded to an email, would simply be untrue. He hasn't. While Mr. Moody himself has never been impolite, his staff, much like the overall experience with his office in general leave a lot to be desired. In the unlikely event you reach one of them, it's unlikely you'll enjoy the experience. If you choose Farm Bureau, and I recommend you do, do not use Mr. Moody's office. Fortunately, you can do most of your business the Farm Bureau online, which I have chosen out of necessity to do.

Take it for what it is, but it is exactly as a write it. If you need to add or remove a vehicle or home from the policy, they won't be there to take your call or respond to your email. If you need to update billing, or change your mailing address, they won't be there. If you have a question about one of your policies, they won't be there to answer it. I could go on, but I digress. Started a new policy after using them for 6+years, then was charged a bill from someone else's account the first month. I was nice and explained how things happen etc, was not rembursed but they applied credit to my next bill. So,this month I get a call from my mother telling me that they had charged her account. Farm Bureau told me they had no idea why or how this happened and that they would send a check for the amount (it's Thursday) meaning she wouldn't get the check till about Monday. I just want to know how a company with access to the account can take money out and won't put it back in. This company is unprofessional/rude and I wouldn't recommend them any longer. I'm not looking for a free ride to anything but after so many errors and having them constantly mess with my money you would think I would get a discount or SOMETHING other than a "Sorry it happened nothing we can do for you."except make you give us the money we keep messing with.
