Heritage Housing of Augusta — Local services in Augusta

My husband and I have tried to make time to stop by this place for a couple weeks now. He passes it on some of his deliveries for work and has had his eye on a couple of their buildings or "tiny homes". We are looking to purchase a building for some property we are clearing and today we finally made it. Their website says the Saturday business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday is the only day listed as "by appointment only". We arrived at 4:21 p.m. By 4:23 p.m. we were pulling out of the parking lot. When we walked into the office we were greated by a few employees who met us right at the door and one of them quickly says, "How can we help you?" My husband says "We'd like to view a couple of your tiny homes." And then she says, with her co-workers by her side, "Oh we don't normally show homes after 4:00, it takes about 45 minutes so maybe you can make an appointment and come back." My husband says "No thanks." and I just shook my head and walked out. My husband finished work early today and we drove all the way from Edgefield Co, SC. We specifically made time to come here and this is the way we're greeted. I would never spend any money here after the way we were treated. I've never seen someone so easily push a sales lead out of the door or much less treat a potential customer like they're such an inconvenience. I do not recommend this place, unless maybe you make an appointment during a time that's more convenient to the staff because their homes do seem nice from...

Do Not Buy. I came to this company in June of 2022. They talk real smooth to you, to get your money. Especially when they know that you're desperate to live in a new home. After giving Steve Lambert almost 13 thousand dollars, I would ask him. "When is my home going to be built? " He would always say. " I don't know." I would give it a couple weeks then ask him again. " When are they going to finish building my home." He would say. " I don't know, Legacy doesn't tell us anything." After I gave him almost 13k of my hard earned money he says he doesn't know when my home will be delivered. There's something wrong with that. I told him that I will call Legacy myself. Steve said " you wouldn't be able to get them on the phone." He also said " who wants to rush into a mortgage?" AFTER he took my deposit. Finally in November, 5 Months later i called legacy and spoke to a woman who told me that my house would be delivered tomorrow. And it was. neighborhoods have been faster built than my 3 bedroom trailer. Nonetheless they finally after putting my foot down. We went to Heritage Housing in Augusta awhile back and had a terrible experience with a woman named Victoria that said she ran the place. We later found out she didn't run the place. The experience was so bad we kinda gave up looking at houses for awhile. This past weekend we started looking again and sure enough this same woman was at a different company we went to. We decided since she was no longer with heritage housing we'd go give them another try. The new manger there,Steve, was so nice and knowledgeable! I was so happy to finally deal with someone who knew what they were doing and could explain the process to us. The place actually looked clean opposed to last time when there were birds in there and it smelt terrible.
