Dieterle Memorial Home & Cremation Ceremonies — Local services in Aurora Township

Over the last ten years, the Dieterle family has been at my family's side on four occasions during difficult times. I have lost my nephew, sister, brother-in-law, and recently my dad. Each time, Bridgette & team provided guidance, compassion, and reassurance that everything was going to be okay. As for my dad, I contacted Bridgette (& Cindy) about two years ago asking for assistance in planning both my dad's and mom’s funerals prior to admitting them to a nursing home (spend-down). I told her that I had a small budget to work with for two funerals. She reassured me that we would work something out. A few days later, my dad and mom’s funerals were planned and paid for. It was a great feeling to get this done on so many levels. Two weeks later I admitted my parents into a nursing home. During those two years, I was able to save more of their money and added more amenities (flowers, marker, upgrades, etc) for my parents' funerals. Once my dad’s time had come on August 31st, 2023, to go to heaven, I called Bridgette to tell her the sad news. Talking to her was like talking to a loving family member. She told me not to worry about a thing and that the Dieterle Team would take care of everything. She sent her colleague Roy to the nursing home to get my dad. Roy was another person who was with us for the entire funeral and continuously provided comfort and words of wisdom. Then it was time to finalize the funeral plans, which were seamless. When my siblings and I suggested an idea, Bridgette's response was always, “Absolutely, we can do that”. The funeral was a beautiful 1-day celebration of my dad’s life. My father passed away on January 19th, 2021. Losing him has not only been the worst pain we have ever experienced, but it was also the first major loss in our family. So it left us in fear of the next steps we should take to ensure he had a proper memorial service and burial during this pandemic.

Dieterle Memorial Home was a location we were familiar with after attending a funeral service there years ago for a close family friend. We met with Bridgette shortly after his death, and from the moment we sat down with her to go over the next steps, my mother, aunt, fiancé and I never imagined we would feel so comfortable. She listened to every request we had and she ensured that my father’s service and burial was going to be beautiful, a testament to who he was as a father/husband/brother/son, and also safe (following COVID guidelines).

Nate was also an amazing man to speak with and work with to find the very best burial spot for my father. He made sure we found the perfect place for him to be laid to rest.

The fear we had quickly subsided while speaking with Bridgette and preparing his service. The day of his service was a day we will always remember and Bridgette, Elizabeth and the rest of the Dieterle staff made sure that everything we had planned for came to fruition that day.
