The food was delicious. From the omelette to the toast to the coffee I was very impressed.
The only reason why I didn't give it five stars it's because our hispanic waitress seem to be bothered by us coming in perhaps at a certain time in which she was either going to lunch or on her way out. But as we were seated in the corner big table she took her time to come to us and with no smile on her face she spoke at us and asked us very monotone questions. It was very apparent that there's something wrong with her.
She came back to check on us in that same manner and didn't even crack a smile as we attempted a couple times to have eye contact with her and warm up to her.
We were ready to go and we didn't get our check and so I myself went up to the register to pay and the hostess appeared to be somewhat surprised that we didn't get our check to pay. When I looked over across through the doorway I saw a waitress sitting down chatting away and eating. Didn't even so much as look over say goodbye or nothing.
It really felt that she had something against us also being Hispanic.
Not sure what it was perhaps it was my Patriot shirt and my we the people baseball cap.
But even though the food was so good and the service was quick to get our food I will not be going back there because I do not want to face that woman as I might say something to her.
So I will avoid that place altogether.
First time there and glad I got the taste the food that everyone was raving about.
Too bad she had to screw it up. I was going to give her a 30% tip but she didn't deserve not $1, but I still gave her 5 measly dollars.
We went there on Wednesday the 17th around 2:30 p.m. so whoever that waitress was I hope management has a...
Read moreRiverview Diner is a hidden treasure when it comes to classic comfort food and outstanding service. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who made us feel right at home. The service is not only fast but also incredibly friendly and attentive, which added to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere of the diner.
As for the food, it’s truly something special. The country chicken fried steak is, without a doubt, the best we’ve ever had. The steak is perfectly tender on the inside while maintaining a delightful crunch on the outside. It comes smothered in a rich, creamy gravy that takes the dish to the next level. If you’re a fan of Southern-style comfort food, this is the dish to order—it’s hearty, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying.
What really stood out during our visit was how accommodating the staff was. We had a special craving for fried chicken and waffles, even though it wasn’t on the menu. To our delight, the kitchen happily made it for us. The fried chicken was crispy and seasoned to perfection, while the waffles were light, fluffy, and perfectly golden. Paired with syrup, the combination was simply divine. It’s rare to find a diner willing to go above and beyond like this, and it made our experience even more memorable.
Overall, Riverview Diner excels in every area—great food, outstanding service, and a willingness to accommodate special requests. Whether you’re there for a classic diner meal or something unique, you can count on leaving fully satisfied. We’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreOrdered for a pickup. Denver Skillet with American fries and a 3 cheese omelette. Was told they don’t have American fries anymore or 3 cheese omelette. They had a 4 cheese omelette called the Wisconsin omelette. Fine, (Was ordering off the online menu). When I went in to pick up order the hostess said they didn’t ask my name when I ordered and asked if I ordered the Denver and I thought she said cheese but found out when I got home she said something else. I called and she said that I had the wrong order. She said the customer for the order I had was there and they were making him a new order. I lived 15 minutes away and stated I would bring the order back and since my correct order would have been sitting for over 30 minutes and would be cold, I would just like to get a refund. When I returned she took my bag and handed me my order. Instead of making a fuss, I took it and asked about the cost difference. She told me not to worry about. I guess because the order I paid for was about $2 more. My wife had been taking her 89 mother to brunch there for about the last 3 years and knows most of the waitress staff. Her mother recently passed from stage 4 cancer in her lungs and liver. At least she’ll have good memories of having brunch there with her mom, but we will be taking our business somewhere else. I’ll take blame for not checking our order but I just felt like they had no interest whatsoever in a resolution that would keep our future business. Oh, by the way, there were American...
