I had acrylics put on and painted. First, my real nails were filed very unevenly and jagged. The lady then put the acrylics on, and couldn’t understand what I meant by “coffin shape”, so I had to literally ask (politely) for the nail file to show her what a coffin shape looks like. She watched me file my nail while I was paying her for her time. Another lady then came to us and had to explain to her what kind of shape to do. She was rude and rushed the whole time, clearly more focused on getting out than on quality or even politeness. She didn’t even have the courtesy to speak to me when I tried to start a conversation to pass the time; instead, she only spoke to her coworker the entire hour in a different language, probably gossiping. When she finished painting, the nails looked alright, I was satisfied with the look, but not the service. After just a few days, two of the fake nails started peeling off, and the nail polish was already chipping. I’ve had fake nails before, and they didn’t start peeling off or chipping for at least 3 weeks. Terrible quality. After a month, I went to this same salon to have my fake nails taken off. I had broken one nail clear through my real nail, so I asked the lady to be careful with that one. This lady was also rushing. She soaked the nail I had hurt, but did not soak any other nails. She then used another new acrylic to remove my fake nails. She used the acrylic to slide it under my fake nails and literally ripped them off my real nails, and it hurt. My real nails had their top layers peeled off, and she clearly knew what the safe way to take off fake nails would be because she soaked one nail and that nail did not hurt when removed. So that means she took them off that way because she was rude and rushed, not due to a lack of knowledge on the removal of fake nails.
Keep in mind both times I came to this salon I was polite and did not even complain, although I should have asked for my money back. This is how they treat a new, polite customer. Unfortunately, this salon has bad customer service, and terrible quality. I could’ve done my nails better on my own and I would’ve saved myself time, money, and pain. Take caution before...
Read moreI have to agree with the reviews saying something about this place has been off the past few months. I’ve been going here for nearly 5 years but in recent visits, everything has been so rushed! It doesn’t matter what time of day I go, if there are a lot of people waiting, etc., service is always rushed.
My most recent visit was this blue set of gel dip. I guess pushing back and trimming cuticles is not part of this $60 service? Instead, they are painfully filed away with the electric file. I realized this with my last set of nails so this time I made sure I asked for a manicure in addition to a change of color for my gel dip. Nope, still got the electric file and my cuticle beds feel and look like paper cuts. My ring finger has about 3 noticeable cut marks. I am sure this will get blamed on my “inability to keep my fingers still” but it was very hard to keep my fingers relaxed when the tech was rushing the service. As the pictures show, I started bleeding and could I have pointed this out, yes. But I figured it was obvious and my tech would apologize… nope, she just kept spraying them with alcohol to stop the bleeding.. OWCH.
Moving on, she started trimming my nails very rushed and fast, not following the almondy/oval shape of my previous set. I did agree on length and was trusting her process and hoped that they would be reshaped to my liking. As soon as I agreed on length, she began the dipping process. I am no nail expert, but my nails have always been the shape I want prior to starting the dip process. Once she was done applying the gel, obviously they were hard to reshape. All my nails were very squoval. And she clearly was not in the mood to continue reshaping. To finish, she applied 3 layers of clear gel polish and there are several air bubbles that don’t show up on the pictures. These are easily the thickest gel dipped nails I’ve ever had.
At this point, my fingers hurt and I really just wanted out of there. When I got home I spent an hour reshaping to the shape that you’ll see in my pictures below. I think it’s time for me to find another salon, especially after seeing all the similarities in...
Read moreI called to see if they can accomodate me for a pedicure and a full set and made an appointment around 5:30pm. I did not know they closed at 7. I had 5 different people work on me, not exactly sure why. My thumb is still very painful and very swollen from having the nail filed too close to the skin and cutting the skin with a dirty nail file. I also wanted my cuticles pushed back before the full set (mini manicure) and it never got done. I requested a design on my toes, but that never got done either and was already taking a very long time as it is. I had a full set colored powder and shellac pedicure. The color I picked from the book I was given, I was told the salon did not have, as a Matter of fact they did not have any of those colors (so why do you have the book at all? Just throw it away) I said I will just get a regular polish since I did not like any other shellac choices, but was made to choose another shellac, not given any other option after I repeatedly asked to have them look for a regular polish in similar color as I was not able to get up during pedi. The pedicure girl did a horrible job. SHE HAD TO FILE MY NAILS AFTER SHE PUT THE SHELLAC ON, even though I told her I wanted them rounded off on emds before she polished, barely massaged and somehow manged to leave a "hang nail of sorts" but on the back of my big toe. The skin would get snagged and pulled and had a hole under it. IT WAS painful and I had to superglue it to stop it from pulling, and no design. The ladies were talking about me in Vietnamese and laughing, so I was very uncomfortable. The place was not very clean and the remote on the massage chair was disgusting and missing 7 buttons. My services came to $126 plus $20 tip. The experience was definitely NOT worth it. I will...
