I've been counting down the days to the opening of this store. It is perfectly on my way to work, which I have been waiting for since we moved to this area 4.5 years ago. I have been 4 times since opening. First time was a few days after opening, drive thru was slow but okay. I was the only one in line, and it was still 15 minutes waiting in the drive thru. But I get it, it's a new store. Second time again drive up... This time in the morning on my way to work. Gave myself 20 minutes knowing it would be a wait. I was late to work. Third time I thought I would be proactive and order mobile pick up from my house before I left (6 minutes away). Order said it would be 6-9 minutes. Figured I would be okay to wait the extra few minutes if they were behind. I got there, waited maybe 2 minutes for my sandwich, and then 25 more minutes before I left without a drink. Fourth time was quick! But it was 2pm on a Saturday so not really a busy time. I get it... Growing pains happen, but Starbucks is known for their quick service, great training and great customer experience. It feels like with the 3 months it took to build the building, they could have been training their team at other locations. Or at the very least, bring in your managers from other locations to help for the first month.
TL:DR - you may or may not get your drink. If you do, plan on at least 15...
Read moreStarbucks Quincy, y'all were throwing some coffee swinging moves down today! Everyone was doing an amazing job on such a challenging morning! 50+ patrons inside and out (including drive-thru), impatient customers with wait time, a gazillion mobile orders coming in, and your hussle was fantastic! Y'all they were swinging out a beverage every 20 - 30 seconds, they were rocking it!
To those that were getting upset at the baristas for the wait time, you seriously need to take a look around you for a good dose of perspective. They were SO BUSY, and yes your wait time was 20 or so minutes inside, however that is due to HOW POPULAR they were! Do not be upset at the baristas! Understand that a good chunk of Aurora had the same idea we did! And the mobile app is crazy convenient! Which meant for as many of us were inside waiting for our food and drinks, there were probably double to tripe the mobile orders coming through the queue. Many of which had ordered before us!
Seriously team as a former shift and barista myself, great work and y'all along with Hampden & Tower are my favorites! I hope your DM reads these to see what a great job...
Read moreClosed (in-store) too early at 3pm. My 7 and 8 y. o. walked up there at 3.30pm wanting to pick up my mobile orders, but to find out that I couldn't walk in. I communicated with hand motion through the glass door that I didn't drive here, so one of employees hand communicated back for us to walk in the drive though lane. After waiting/walking in the car lane for almost 10 min, we got to the order speaker which that person told us to get out of the dangerous drive through lane and come to the front door where someone brought out our drinks. It was a frustrating situation. Someone should bring out our drinks to the front door in the first place. Also, the Starbucks app should have a pop-up notification at the check out that a specific store only open for drive-through at that time. This store also doesn't make drinks as good as other locations (experiences from many other times). For example, I ordered a Matcha green tea on ice and got a cup of milk with Matcha powder floating on the top when it should be stirred in or shaked into a drink. When we ordered a Mango Dragonfruit drink, you could barely see some...
