This neighborhood pool (run by the City of Austin) is really nice. The pool is almost always crystal clear and grounds are clean and well maintained.
There's a small kiddie pool that's great for toddlers too.
The main pool is really large and has a big shallow section as well as a separate section for swimming laps.
The lifeguards are always pleasant and friendly as well as very attentive.
The only reason I'm not giving the pool 5 stars is the lack of shade. There are very few places that offer shade and that's an issue when you're out in our 100 degree plus Texas...
Read moreI love the park, it's one of South Austin's sweet and diverse places for kiddos to play. Fun new playscape and great walk/ride trail around the park. Five stars on the park. The pool however, gets super crowded and sometimes looks like boiling water with all the activity! That makes it tough to keep up with on a cleaning tip, so catch it soon after cleaning and know that during the high season, it's gonna be jam packed. Bless public pools though, the city is definitely doing their best...
