Went to the location on South Congress. Noticed the lady said "hello" to everyone that came in after me. I instructed her I had a mini fridge in my vehicle. Saw a tall guy and asked if I could borrow him. He was in the middle of chatting with a customer that he appeared to have known. The guy looked at me and just shook his head. I didn't mean at that exact moment. I figured I could have him help when he was done. Ended up loading the fridge myself on the dolly while the female employee stood there when I said something about this and basically said...what do you mean and yeah. Male employee has to go out of the front and brushes up against me. I knew from what I had heard to go to a different location or pawn facility altogether. I was treated like I was trying to get over or take advantage when I brought a nook... an xbox 360 plus 20 games...a mini fridge...bluetooth and telescope and gaming headset...she wouldn't even take the games for free...I told her they could have them...I'm in the process of moving out of state and don't want to keep anything unused....free...she said it didn't matter...they don't sell them. Never heard of anyone passing up FREE. $47 is what I got which doesn't phase me as bad as the customer service. Absolute worst. I would strongly advise avoiding this location...
Read moreWill never go back based off first experience. Clerk said she could lower price from 95 to 85. Guess the tax went up in Texas without me knowing, either that or she charged me to ship it from her hands to mine. In any case, will never return based off of dishonesty. Not even sure what they sold me was worth it. $92 dollar mistake I won't make again. Would not recommend.
Edit: So yeah, the purchase was not worth it, bike is Frankenstein'd together, adding to the dishonesty. Emailed a reply 5-20-21
Update: The corporate office emailed me once, yesterday around noon (5-20-21), I replied, and have yet to hear anything back. Guess they don't intend on refunding my money, or getting me a new bike.
Update: Never heard back from generic corporate message sent here. Guess they had no intention of giving me another bike, or giving me my money back. 🤷 Bad...
Read moreI bought a combo tool set there Friday. That I paid 220$ for it. They asked if I wanted to buy there protection plan. I said no, just because when I ever pawn anything there they inspect the yell out of it. So it was a good faith deal. Monday came around and the only thing that work was the light and the charger. The saw zall, 2 drills and both batteries didn't work. They said they couldn't take it back. Because I didn't get the protection plan. So I asked if they could just swap it for a set that did work. That was a no as well. So I basically got a light and charger for 220$. Million dollar company cheating the customers that keep there employees and owners paid. If the customers are at the pawn shop buying tools it's for a reason. They must need the money...
