Guy’s Barbershop — Local services in Austin

I cannot commend Guy enough for what he did for my son. Finding a good barber is very difficult! I am so thankful I found this man! I want to let it be known that part of being a good barber is being compassionate! I called after MUCH disappointment (check my other reviews for details not related to Guy’s) and was pleasantly spoke to. I asked if the individual on the other line could please cut my 10 year old sons hair. He responded that he could and I advised that I was just a few minutes away. When we walked in WE WERE GREETED VERY KINDLY! This was around closing IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND ORGANIZED and when we got there he was very patient with my son (who has a disability but you wouldn’t know it by looking at him) he was very receptive of the fact that kids were in the vicinity and he acted very professionally . I can just tell that he is a caring person and he certainly earned my business! He took the time to make my sons hair look very nice! I wanted to tell him just how much I had gone through just that day trying to find someone to cut my sons hair but I know I would have started crying from all of the memories of the difficulties so I didn’t. And even now I get teary eyed. . But I want it to be known that it is greatly appreciated and I highly recommend this place for people who care...

Who is this Guy? He is the Man! I read all the reviews in Austin for over a year looking for someone with real scissor skills. In the meantime getting not great haircuts. I took a chance on Guy and glad I did. There is nothing worse in life than getting a bad haircut. Guy undid the damage done and cut my long straight fine hair to a business cut that looks great. Also his conversation, listening skills and music choices were awesome. What a real blessing to find someone who not only talks the talk but who's hands know what to do and have real skills. I recommend Guy and I am always loyal to my barber. I have retired 3 barbers in my lifetime, the last one after 10 years, so glad to have found Guy who will be around for a long time. I have finally found my barber after a long search. Save yourself time and heartache and listen to my advice. I have done the work for you finding Guy, and I am the world's biggest skeptic. Good spirit, great skills, exceptional conversation, and the next morning looking in the mirror perfect haircut. Considering he had to repair the damage done before he got there I am excited to see after a few months of his work what the results should have been. I just tell the truth and call them like I see them, rare for me to give 5 stars but Guy the Man...

Can't say enough good things about, Guy and his business. Been barbered for hair & beard for 20yrs in Austin. Everything was enjoyable: the atmosphere, how all make sure you're comfortable, the pleasant conversations, the communal sense, the love they put into their craft/art/product/location, and their final product - they take pride in their work and so are not happy unless you are happy. With the way I style my hair and beard it is not easy to cut because of all the different fades and lengths going on at the same time and then to make them blend together - Guy knows exactly what he's doing.
